My mate at school is urging me to get garry's mod on steam seeing how i managed to get it to work again
however i don't know if i should because simply, it seems a waste of cash because i have these games in my list already:

L4D2
WiC:complete edition
C&C Red Alert3:Uprising
Red Faction

So should i get it garrys mod?

OT: Do you play the games you already have frequently, or do you sometimes wish you had something else to do keep you occupied, if it's the former then I'd suggest you wait for the latter.

Well, i don't know. I tried to get into it, but couldn't. Can't be arsed to actually master building stuff in it. You could still make goofy pictures though.

If you like having fun building stuff and messing around with physics engines then I would say get it. This is best enjoyed with a small group of friends in my opinion. Also you can make amusing videos and stuff.

Garry's Mod isn't as much of a game as it is a tool for messing around with pretty much everything in Half-Life 2 and more. You'll see it used a lot in machinima.

Spoiler: Here's a legendary example.

Whether or not this sort of thing is something you'd like depends on you and you alone. Also, calling a game a waste of cash solely because you already have 4 completely unrelated games is a bit boggling.

You do need a Source game. I would advise something like HL2. Also good games to have along side it are TF2 and CS:S. If you have all those then you have a masive load of props to play around with. You don't have to have them to use Gmod though so don't worry if you don't. (you still need something with the source engine)

Yeah it's awesome. Be sure to check out tutorials on youtube first though, so you start off with an advantage. There's alot of stuff to learn in it.
