If you could pay $10,000 to go into a hotel in space for two weeks, would you do it? (for arguement's sake, you have the money)

Details:
Major one - There would be simulated gravity, caused by building the space station in a circle then rotating it at a set speed. This eliminates many problems with prolonged freefall (like bone loss and nausea).

You would have to pay for meals separatly, but there would be high and low budget options (some french chef or McD's and everything inbetween).

You could pay $25,000 for first class (more cabin space, better furniture, etc).

You could go on 3 "gravity flights" in a shuttle, orbiting the earth a few times.

How you would get up there? As of now, same way NASA does it (or rather, how they don't do it anymore, so how they used to...), strapped to a rocket and blasted away. But it is the future, so maybe a space elevator (same way a normal elevator works, except the cable goes to a space station in a geosyncronus (that means it stays above the same spot on the earth) orbit.

DISCUSS!

Oh and it's not letting me edit the damn poll... So let's say you do have the money for it.

I would not go because I don't have 10,000 dollars to spend on something like that. And even if I had the money I wouldn't because there are other things on Earth that are much more worth my money.

Let's say you have the money. Would you still do it?

But I already answered that in my post...

So you're offering me a fully paid trip to space? Hmm, let me take a moment to...Yes! Sign me up.

Well, it's not me paying for it... It's you (who has the money) paying for it.

I would. But I would go the $10,000 dollar route. I do not need much space to be comfortable, and considering I am in space, I do not think I will be spending much time in the cabin.

$10,000? Hell yes, a bit of an extreme underestimate for what such a thing might cost, so for that cheap I wouldn't hesitate.

I'd take the regular option. First class anything would pale, if not detract, from the awe-inspiring fact of being in fucking space!

if i have the money (and im assuming its just "throw away" money and i dont need it for bills and such) then... HELL YA I WOULD!!! I made a 'bucket list' when i was 7, but removed a few things because they were so outrageous. Going into space was one of them, and if i had a chance, then by all means. Anyways, lots of people can claim they went to (insert location name), but how many can say they went to Space? and as a vacation too, not a research trip

If I had the option to go for free (ie. Won a prize) sure.

If I had the money, but had to pay, no.

I don't think Space travel is stupid, I'm sure I could handle it. I just don't want to.

I think space travel is great, I'd live on a huge shuttle simmilar to that which you're describing, or live on the citidel (I'd prefer earth to the citidel, I'm sentimental) for work, but a holiday in space does not appeal.

I would love to be part of a large crew heading to, say, terraform Mars for colonisation. But a holiday in space is silly in my mind as I wouldn't enjoy it.

Space doesn't really facinate me, nor do most sci-fi settings. So sue me.

Anyway, I didn't vote because it would skew the results as I don't feel any of the answers apply to how I feel.

AS long as there are more than 8x8 foot cabins and 3 foot diameter metal tubes connecting them, I don't get peppered with hyper-velocity space pebbles, and the shuttle isn't prone to blowing up in transit, hell yes.
Living in space with current technology SUCKS. I'd rather live in Iraq.
Now, go forward 50 years or so and I'm sure I'd be more enthusiastic.

I'd go towards the end of my life, after I'm pretty sure I won't need to spend the money on anything other than cancer treatments and the like. Even then, I'd just go for the 10k option, since it's not like the extra 15k will add an extroadinary amount of comfort or anything.

Well, given the scenario, the trip amounts to being free; so I'd take the first class choice.
