Where did they go? I want to fly my fighter right down the nose of the enemies battleship and blast it to bits!
I want to go in with my wing of fighters and get in a massive dog fight.
Can you imagine an online dogfight with 64 people? awesome!

Oh Thank Christ!

I thought this was going to be a new Sims game in space announcment, not a Space Sim...which..kinda sounds cool actually.

I dont tend to find alot of them, EVE online, X3 and the Space Battles in Starwars battlefront and Empire At War are the only ones i know of.

i guess developers feel it would be a waste of their time to make a game people would call "WarHawk" in space...Though i do believe "StarHawk" will be in space, so i hear.

I liked them but the last somewhat decent one i can think of is freelancer, which is kinda old, it was pretty fun to play online when there was an online community though, with mods and all...

Edit : ah! ninja'ed on freelancer :)

Does Freelancer count as a space sim? If so, then I loved it so hard I died a little.
Ya it does i played that for a while, it was pretty good. Would be great if they made a second one.

Aww i clicked on the link expecting something about a Sims game set in space, one that would actually interest me so i could send them out for a walk then take of their helmets so their heads explode... i probably need to seek help.

Do you mean space Sims like flight sims? i would find that quite boring.

i would be interested in seeing something like hellbender or descent done again, those were fun, and quite often made me dizzy and disorientated, but still fun.

Ah, for the good old days when Wing Commander was considered a massive install. Holy shit, six floppy disks? HOLY SHIT!

Yeah, I'm a space sim fan. The aforementioned Wing Commander, Starlancer, Freelancer, X3, Freespace, Darkstar One...

And of couse X-Wing. WTF ever happened to X-Wing?
