I doubt it. The only reason I even know about the awards is because there's supposed to be an Arkham City trailer, and there might be a Battlefield 3 trailer, which would make me squeal like a fangirl. I won't be at home, so I'll probably just look up the interesting bits afterwords.

Not available in Canada, so no. I will be keeping tabs on them in hopes the Mass Effect unveiling is not a disastrous multiplayer announcement for ME3 that is being rumored.

Wouldn't watch even if it was avail in Canada.. (really, it's not available here? who knew?)

I got turned off when they had painted models a few years back. They are not really being serious about gaming as an artistic platform: why whould I take them seriously?

Are you kidding??? That network makes me ashamed to be a man! I won't have anything to do with it or anything hosted by it. Besides the results are utterly arbitrary anyway, just like all award shows.

That would be heartbreaking, and is seeming more and more likely. The EA declaration a few days ago that single-player only games are finished and the constant rumors that the VGA reveal will be either a multiplayer Mass Effect spin-off or will be Mass Effect 3 with a multiplayer component is pretty discouraging.

If the game turns out to be a spin-off with multiplayer, I wouldn't fret so much. But if it is Mass Effect 3 with multiplayer, I will scream. Multiplayer tends to take away from the single-player portions of games (though I was just proven wrong on this with Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood). I would rather Bioware's first foray (as far as I'm aware) into multiplayer be with a game that's had roughly 80 hours of build-up from it's predecessors. Concentrate on finishing the trilogy, Bioware!

Sure. Watched last years VGAs and it was ok, though it was my first time watching the VGAs. Actually enjoyed watching it. Guess I don't really see why people don't like it.
Same, people hate things that are popular I went in last year never befor watching a VGA and ending up enjoying it a lot.

Apologies. For what it's worth, the EA Store brief appearance of Mass Effect 3 gives a little hope (especially Kotaku's take on it).

Don't play the hate on it because it's popular card. One: it's Spike, not ABC or some major network. Two: It's Spike, the channel that can't go one minute without some adolescent sexual fantasy gracing the screen with Nickelback's latest hit providing the soundtrack. It's not hard to see why the channel draws the ire of many.

I tried watching the VGAs one year, and promptly felt like throwing up, so I've avoided them since. Stupid commercialism and steretypical "gamer culture" turned me off.

Ugh, the spike VGAs make G4 look like the best thing to ever happen to videogames. No I will not be wasting my time with them again this year.

Nope, I watched it for 20 minutes last year and turned the TV off.

The only thing good on the VGAs are the trailers for upcoming games.

The only reason why I would watch it is the new Bioware game and the Uncharted 3 trailer. Oh, and maybe Battlefield 3.
