I watched about half of the first one (the original first one) got bored and started playing video games. However both my parents love them so I know everything that happens and understand most of the Star Wars jokes. That being said I did enjoy the family guy parodies.

Not the greatest film series ever... But it has to be said, it was the first of its kind.

Same here.

My order of favorites goes: Return of the Jedi, A New Hope, The Phantom Menance, Revenge of the Sith, Attack of the Clones, The Empire Strikes Back.
I'm sorry, I thought you said the Phantom Menace was almost as good as A New Hope.

WHAT?!

this man gets some serious Nerdz Cred

DAMN YOU, JAR-JAR

OT: Yeah, though I don't get what the big deal was about the first three (the original trilogy).

The last three (which were the First, chronologically (wait, wut?)) were utter tripe

BAM!

Completely agree. Too many people shout their divine love for Empire Strikes Back to the heavens and beyond.

Tell me, was there a scene involving a Rancor in Empire Strikes Back? No? I rest my case.
Were there any Ewoks in Empire? No! Was there a climactic final battle? No! Was there an amazing fight with Darth Vader that ended in someone getting thrown into a giant pit? N- well yes there was, kinda, but Empire's wasn't as good.

The original trilogy is amazing, Episodes 1 and 2 aren't that bad but Episode 3 just sucked. It would've been saved without A. Midichlorians B. All that random lovey-dovey bullshit in Episode 2 and C. Hayden Christensen.

from the beginning, george lucas was planning to do 4,5,6, then 1,2,3, and then 7,8,9, so that you could see what happened before and after luke. but he got diabethes(?) so he didn't do 7 8 and 9. too bad. and i have seen all star wars.

I've seen them all.
And I liked the prequels.

But I saw them first, and the originals later.

It's like watching the movie before reading the book.
You enjoy both instead of complaining "The book was better!" while watching the movie

Got it?!

(Btw: That same policy holds for EPs 1 & 2)

I've seen them yes, but after playing KoTOR 2, I've had some trouble taking even the original trilogy that seriously. I suppose it did a too good job at deconstructing Lucas's black and white fairy tale take on the setting.

I've watched all the movies and Empire Strikes Back is my favourite of them all, because there are no cuddly comical side-kicks (apart from C-3PO and R2-D2, but they don't count), Luke gets maimed and the battle on Hoth.

Nowadays, though, I prefer the KotOR games over the movies.

I also want to point out that I love both Star Wars AND Star Trek.

Why are you all numbering them from one to six? There were only three. Definitely only three. I remember it distinctly, the complete lack of any slap dash badly acted effects driven toy commercials posing as prequels. Didn't George Lucas go missing? I'm sure he did. Gone forever. Yeeeaah.

Yes. I liked all 6 of them, and even accept the Clone Wars series as occasionally watchable.

I recommend watching them in the order they were created.

Original 3, pretty cool. Newer ones were crappy beyond belief, terribad actors, characters and dialogue.
