Disliked the edits to the story but I still enjoyed the campaign and the BIGGEST change couldn't even be a real change depending on how Hots goes. Though apparently the video that I originally thought was just a fan made thing was the planned ending so I may have spoiled it for myself unless they change it to a real one.

I really, really like the story. First game ended on a cliffhanger from my POV, and I've been chomping at the bit for the next part. But, then again, I have legendarily bad taste, so... yeah.

I've also been playing the beta and like some of the new Protoss units, so my friends and I will probably spend some quality time wrecking the A.I. too.

Either way, it'll be worth it.

I'm gutted I'm going to have to wait to play this as I need to fix the PC and I just haven't got the funds for a new monitor yet (

Like a few of the others here I suck at Starcraft multiplayer so I'm just going to get it for the single player campaign. I've loved the story of the Starcraft universe since the first one so I'm not missing out in the next chapter.

Well when Activision took over and had them chop the full campaign into 3 pieces I stopped paying attention..
3 pieces, each as long as (and infinitely more diverse/challenging than) the original SC1 campaign, not to mention the hours of entertainment achievements and challenges bring.

Still waiting for them to release all 3 campaigns together since that's mostly what I'd be playing it for.

I'm sorry, have I stepped through some sort of portal to find myself back in the year 2009? Because this complaint was old even back then. Some people need to get over themselves and stop trying to convince people to be upset about essentially getting a trilogy of games, each longer than the original SC or Brood War, and with additional modes added in, a much improved UI, and better multiplayer features.

I'm sorry you feel that they're trying so hard to rip people off by selling them a game filled with content that doesn't meet your approval because it doesn't finish the story in one game, but let's move on from trying to convince people they're getting shit on already.

Nobody bitched when they found out Mass Effect was going to be a trilogy, and that wasn't even known until the first game came out and ended on a cliff hanger. At least Blizzard was up front about telling people that SC2 would be a trilogy, and it's been a damn fun one so far. And having played the HOTS beta since December, I have to say that the next one looks to be a huge improvement over Wings of Liberty. Just one more reason to be happy they split the campaign into three FULL games.

People still play this game? Lol nothing like paying $109.00 USD for 2/3rds a game. Maybe we'll get the protoss expansion sooner then 5 years and be able to get everything in a nice bundle deal. Till then, im not paying more then $60 for a game, and all of its content. When i buy a game, I expect to have THE FULL GAME.

Been in the beta, the balance is mostly questionable but it seems to be going on a better direction than WOL.

If I hadn't kinda turned on Blizzard I might have gotten it, but after I had my falling out with watching pro SC2 I pretty much lost any interest in the follow up, as I'm already familiar with the aspects that captured my attention other than the cut scenes (which I'm no longer interested in paying $40~60 to watch).

I didn't vote though, as I don't view their trilogy as any kind of money grab; I still buy their vision of three fleshed out games. I'm just not interested anymore.

It is a full game, not that anyone still making this argument actually cares. They just want something to find something to ***** about. But you can see my post right above yours for more detail.

And you do know it's not even three years since Wing of Liberty came out right? I'm not sure where you're getting the idea that it will be 5 years for the Protoss campaign from.

I'm sure that you think you're spreading some kind of great wisdom to the uneducated masses, but in reality, SC2 is a fantastic game, and the decisions to split each race's story arc into a new expansion was the correct one. It IS a full game, just like SC1 was a full game before BW came around. This isn't some kind of DLC scam.

Why cant we just say 'no' why does/do the poll/you have to automatically assume everything is a jaded money grab? I'm not allowed to believe they legitimately want to deliver a good product but just suck at doing so?

I thought WoL was decent. Very good multiplayer, decent campaign, drool inducing design. I'll get HoTS mainly for the campaign, it will probably not be stellar but knowing Blizzard it wont be rubbish either.

As a very bad low-bracket player I'm a little worried about all the new units, the tactics needed seems way out of my league so I may stick to WoL for multiplayer.

Yeah I'll double that sentiment. WoL was a very long, very complete and varied campaign even though it only features one race. SC2 is polished to a shine in a way that no other developers do anymore. The keybinds, the options, the menus, the controls, the cutscenes, the animations - everything is of a very high standard. Artistically it's the same old generic silly space campaign, but who would have expected otherwise?

I got SC2 yesterday but cant play it just yet

after wrapping my head around the story from the last game I'm actually really interested, the whole thing with Kerrigan (even though I only read about it) kind of disturbs me

I thought the whole Kerrigan of being a damsel in distress instead of a revolutionist who got corrupted into a real evil ***** and Jim the white Knight instead of a decent guy who had his heart torn-out was a spit in my face..I don't think highly of SC2.

I almost don't want to buy it because of how blizzard is treating the daiblo 3 fanbase.

Not interested in SC2, but after watching that CGI "trailer", I would like to see Starcraft movie. :D
