If you're a PC gamer then theres a chance you're in on the Steam Community.
And as you know, there are games with steam achievements. But these achievements do not have Gamerscore attached like on XBL. So here is my question. DO you want Steam to do Gamerscore like they do on Live? Or leave it as it is?

An achievement is an achievement. I don't see much use in attaching an arbitrary number to it.

I like achievements, but I hate them being used as a measuring stick. So, no, keep the achievements without the gamerscore.

No

I don't even like the gamerscore on Xbox. most of the games that have it don't even have a reason for it, except to give one a reason to play it more than once.

I never understood people who played games on xbox just for the achievement score. Its like studying for a test. The longer you play and the more you concentrate the higher score u will get. I just want to play the game to have fun, not to sweat and piss myself off trying to get that impossible achievement. Its nice having something pop up saying Gratz u did ____, but it doesn't need a score attached to it. Never understood it, never will.

Nope, don't need it.

No need for that, they better remake the client first; it can use an update :)
What's wrong with Steam? If you mean the interface, I quite like it the way it is. Although it would be great if they introduced a way to use Steam chat without using steam, like for phones/mobile. That would be great.

I won't lie, it's a smart business move as people will buy games just to boost their score, but on praticality it's pretty useless and is only there to show that you waste more time than others.

There is no need for gamescores, personally, I don't own an Xbox 360, so I don't know exactlly what gamescores are and as long as you get an achivement, I think that's good enough, you don't need any "scores"

Leave as is, there isn't any point in some arbitrary number attached to the achievements that gains you nothing. It's wasted memory space.

The more games you have the less efficient it gets, they do a good job of making the client do not get me wrong. but a full V2.0 wouldn't hurt and It was more an example of what matters mor than score to me.

No. Personal achievements can add some arbitrary thing to work towards and extend the life of the game. Gamescores are useless and only encourage a big pissing contest.

Pretty much this. Achievements are a bit of fun but when you start throwing numbers around it doesn't do much apart from boost the sales of King Kong.

The main problem I have with achievements on the Xbox 360 is that the game becomes less about the actual game and more about the points. Why can't we play just for playing?

Oh, I didn't know that, I don't have a ton of Steam games, most of my games I just have shortcutted through steam. I thought you meant more of a graphical upgrade. But I wouldn't say no to an under-the-hood upgrade if it needs it.

Unless the gamerscore can actually be USED for something; no. there's no point to it.

Achievements are fun and all, but they shouldn't be an entire game in themselves. I don't want to end up in a state whereby I'm playing a game because it'll make me better at the "overgame".

I see. I was actually Expect people to be going for the "yes we want Gamerscore" option.
Pleasantly surprised :D
