Cyberpunk, I don't want to live in the past - not even an imaginary one.

I always think of Cyberpunk as a lot more dystopian, so Steampunk.
Me too.

When I think of steampunk, I think of the industrial revolution and bold curiosity. When I think of cyberpunk, I think of a world gone haywire with technology like in Akira or Ghost in the Shell.

Steampunk just feels a lot more cozy and homey to me.

Victorian-styled clothing, visible machine parts, MECHS, and pretty much everything else in Steampunk is what makes it so great. =D

Cyber for me thanks. Ever since i saw Mutant Chronicals (i think) i haven't been able to stand steampunk.

It was the worst movie ever.

Steampunk has a great aesthetic, but cyberpunk has more potential for mutilation and mutation . . . I guess cyberpunk.

ARGH!
Steampunk, I guess.

I've been in love with it's aesthetics for years now, and although I find the moral questions and the setting (dystopian future where companies rule the planet) of cyberpunk more engaging, I would prefer to be able to live in a developed, steampunk, world.

steampunk looks far better, but cyberpunk is my fortay, give me a box of parts al make a working computer, whereas my 1972 radio is on the blink and it appears i can't fix it, quite sad as its an awesome radio

Steampunk, especially if I can get in on some of that sweet, sweet, Trotmobile action. Plus I like the look better, gears, cogs, brass, and of course steam. Cyberpunk gets too vibrant and L.E.D.'y for me. Also I'm not into the whole hacker scene. Also it's too far future flung, Steampunk can be anywhere from Lincoln to the twenties.

A refreshing and exciting adventure, Steambot Chronicles!

A dystopian corporate police state, I'm going to go with cyberpunk. Fact is without cyberpunk there would be no steampunk at all. Pollution is entirely way to bad in steampunk worlds, think about that, most steampunk worlds are akin to London in the Industrial Revolution.

Anywhere that I can be a hacker and the greatest swordsman in the world... Or visit an orbital habitat full of Rastafarian's, or take on a church full of cybernetic monks, or digitize my consciousness.

Hell, lets just go with this:

Either this!

Or just plain ole Cyberpunk!

That, is one of the great questions of our time.
The answer of course, is yes.
seconded.

OT: Seriously, I can't really pick between the two, so I'd go with either, as long as I get a bitchin' looking gun out of it. XD

Steampunk. The men were better groomed and it was just more optimistic.

You could have guessed that answer from my desktop.
