Blech, reminds me of Die Hard 4
Oh, yes. The first three at least felt realistic (apart from a massive plot hole in Die Hard 2), but, seriously, an F-35 tearing up a highway? And the computer bullshit?

I intentionally do not watch CSI, as I plan to be a forensic scientist, and I don't want to cloud my expectations.

Another case in point from the same show but a different episode, people were randomly going blind and a doctor literally said this "in all my years i have never seen a case like this and there is no medical record for it!" then the science guy goes and says its mercury poisoning, now im sorry but youve got to be some sort of piss poor doctor not to notice mercury poisoning.
Not really; Hg poisoning is very rare.
Agreed. Doctors are not infalable. Whoever it was is daft for saying there was no medical record but they often make mistakes. Case in point is when my dad's friend went to three doctors missed his whooping cough (a fairly common disease).

I like that show!

So what if its dumb, its just fun to watch
Yup. [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/MST3KMantra].

Take it as quasi-science at it's best, and a friendly jab at worst.

Ooh... and of course the low resolution images that can be manipulated into a higher resolution to always give the perpetrator's face...
Which I know, knowing quite a lot about Photoshop is redankaloss. The closest thing you have is "Sharpen", "Enlarge" and "Extrapolate", all three of which are not powered by The Force, or any other kind of magic.

I'm not sure if this pun has been made yet, but "Stop raping grammar please". I got a vague idea what you're on about but couldn't read the OP for one bit.

Heavy water is technically a carcinogen that is related to radioactive pollutants. Hard water is a water that is polluted with specific mineral sediments. If someone you knew was using these terms interchangably, you should tell them to do a little hydrology.

Also, almost everyone's water has some level of carcinogenic chemicals in it, filtered or not. I still wouldn't drink the mexico in water, but that's life.

It's fiction so no. However if they are going to realistic, then yeah it'd bug me a bit. However if this thing is pissing you off then you might have some problems mate

Well theres a reason its called fiction, meaning you arent supposed to take what they show/do as realistic or plausible.

Either way they have to spice things up, excessive realism tends to bore people. Imagine if cop dramas had entire episodes dedicated to paper work?
or if in medical shows, they actually *pfft* DID WORK, isn't THAT far fetched?

The problem with water in Mexico wouldn't be the carcinogenic chemical content, but the microbe and parasite content.
