Am I the only one who doesnt want to have to live with decisions purely made to see "what if?" Example, in Fallout 3 I was short on change so I killed Flak, of Flak and shrapnel and took his money. I then bought things from Moira from then till close to the end of the game BUT i detonated the bomb later on and was left with only the Underworld person to sell/buy from.
Next Example:I was treasure hunting in RE5. Im an achievement whore, and wanted the rest of the small gems. Well i was trying to blow down this stand to get into a chest for a gem but Shevas retarded ass wouldnt move. I told her "Over Here!" but she assumed that meant 10 feet infront of me right where i was aiming. Well out of pure contempt for shitty AI I shot her twice with a DEagle round and was screwed outta my S rank......
Third Example: I was playing Army of Two. The save points are few and far between, so when you get one savor it. Well needless to say i was attempting to give my Ai instructions. Well i told him to go there, and when he did he started to get shot but wouldnt stop so i told him to come back. He was then stuck in a loop of back and forth getting killed. So i finally managed to kill the terrorists, all the while hes doing laps. I couldnt get him to stop so i took the SPAS 12 to his ass, and we had to start all over. Was it really necessary? Couldnt he have just left and came back later in a closet HINT HINT
What im asking is should we REALLY have to live with the consequences of our actions if we are just being curious? What if we only killed that shopowner in Fable:TLC as a joke and then hey now im fucked because she was the only one left to buy my things and so on and so forth. I can understand the need for realism in a game like Oblivion or Fallout 3 but come on. In CoD4 should i really be held guilty for shooting one of the retards who got in my way and have to be told that friendly fire is un acceptable and now i must start all over after just barely passing the hardest section of this level?
