He never really utilizes many projectiles to thwart his enemies, spare a turtle shell or fireball, so I am not sure how this would actually work. There are probably better candidates to get the FPS treatment.

Also, I do love bacon and oppose this idea, so I agree with Sewblon on his polling option.

I saw a Game Overthinker episode where he made a suggestion that Nintendo should have Super Mario Paintball. I'd be all over that as long as it's paintball or something on the 'E' side of the ERSB. Call me old-fashioned, but I'm not the least bit interested in seeing these beloved characters getting blown away. Besides, it's not like there aren't enough FPS games out there.

Mario Galaxy made Mario good again. Why would they want to kill the franchise for good by making it into an FPS? That would be like making Doom into a survival horror.

I don't really think the OP really thought your preference for bacon wuold actually change your vote, since the poll doesn't really do anything.

Any Mario game is not worth pissing on in my opinion, so no, I wouldn't play it.

This is kind of close-minded. Do you even own a Nintendo system? Regardless of what you think of the franchise or company as a whole, the mario games are good platformers and are better than most other games in the genre. As far as the spin-offs go, yes, it's annoying yo have the plumber's face on every single game, but those games are fun and at the very least competently made. You may not like the unseriousness of them, but there are not that many Mario games that are out-and-out bad.

As for the topic, play Banjo Twooie. It's like a simpler version of 007 Goldeneye. There are just enough weapons (7) and stages (3) to be enjoyable while keeping things simple. It's a good game to cool off a long session of GoW, CoD, or Halo while still being an FPS. If you want to see what a Mario FPS would look like, check it out,
