Well the thread accurately predicted Denver Vs. Seattle; between the options that involved actually watching it. I'm not sure I liked how Seattle's secondary played (at least until the fourth quarter) and how much room Kaepernick had. Denver's Offensive line men looked really strong, where as I'm not sure Seattle's even showed up. Just one more game guys. Also I think most awkward post game interview of the year goes to Erin Andrews interviewing Sherman. That was pretty damn funny.

That was such a great game. I'm absolutely shocked that with Manning V Brady, there would be a different football game that was more entertaining. An absolutely epic finish (even if it didn't land the way I wanted it to).

Well I was partially right. I guess my money now would go to Denver, they seem like a more complete team.

Peyton Manning deserves the ring if he plays like he played today. I am not convinced Seattle will be able to stop him if he gets into his groove.

It amazes me that other people here actually like football, I always felt like talking about it created nothing but nerd mockery.

As a huge football fan (president, secretary and treasurer of the one-member South Australian Tennessee Titans Fan Club) I gotta say I REALLY don't see it going to the Olympics. It would be enjoyable (if one-sided) but it ain't gonna happen. Of course, if you have evidence to the contrary you're welcome to source me.

I tipped Seattle & New England. My first aim (getting rid of the *#&@! Colts) was achieved, now I'm gonna see off Peyton if I can.

I've been a fan ever since they came to my state in the 90s, go watch them every year now even though we kinda suck recently. LP field is still a lively place and fun to watch even when we loose 800 games.

Nothing complicated about it, just the first game I ever watched in 1992 was Oilers vs Chiefs and I liked sky blue better than red. Back then I used to get to see them once a year if I was lucky, now thanks to the wonders of technology I can see us lose every weekend ;P

Although actually I think we're moving in the right direction. Dare to dream...

I'm a big Seahawks fan, so I was delighted to see them win tonight. The fact that the Niners only actually had two good drives considering the field position they were gifted a few times is what lost them the game. Gore was completely ineffective, Bouldon is showing his age, the one time they actually threw it to Crabtree Kaep's bitchass got picked off. Seahawks D was just too good today for the Niners to really do anything besides have Kaepernick run it. Seattle had some struggles on offense as well, but when you consider that a lot Wilson's receivers are considered to be pretty meh, its not exactly surprising. Give Wilson Kaep's recieving weapons and Wilson would be even better.

Denver will win the Superbowl I reckon. Take Seattle away from their precious '12th man', throw in a Denver QB who knows how to win under pressure (as opposed to Kaepernick who simply cannot win those close games when he needs to), and I actually think that the Superbowl may be a little anti-climactic compared to the game I saw last night.

Seattle are great at home, but lets just imagine that Kaepernick hadn't placed a large bet against the 49ers and put Payton Manning in that same situation in the last 2 minutes of the 4th quarter.

To be honest, last nights game was a fucking nail biter, I see a lot of fellow 9er fans blaming the referees (who did make some pretty awful decisions), however the most glaring error they made ultimately resulted in the 49ers getting the ball on their own 11 instead of their own 1, so it worked out for the best (had Seattle scored, it would have been a different matter altogether).

Ultimately though, Kaepernick isn't quite good enough under pressure. Not yet. He ran the ball magnificently, but when he was called upon to carry out a 2 minute drill he was found wanting.

I really, really wanted the 49ers to make this Super Bowl, because I don't think they'll make it to the NFC championship game a 4th time in a row next season, and it could be a few years before they get another shot at it now... Never mind though. It was a fucking good game to watch.

Now, C'mon DENVER!

I don't follow American football*, so I have no idea. And I can't see it getting into the Olympics given how few other countries play it.

*Technically, now that I'm working in the US 2 weeks out of 5, I actually do see a fair bit of American football on screens at pubs/bars/restaurants - I just have no idea what's going on (I mean, I can see that it's vaguely rugby-ish, but that's about it). I suppose I should make some effort to learn the basics just to be able to talk about it...

I think the Lizardmen will take it. Their combination of a really strong frontline with the crazy mobility of their Skink backline is just so good. Especially when they have the experience and skills to back it up which, at this competitive level, is a given.

The Lizardmen aren't even in the running this year, and Halflings?! Whose stew have you been eating to think the Halflings are even in with a shot? The only useful Halfling is being propelled by a treeman, and they splat on landing more often than not!

No, my money's on the Underworld team. If not to win, then at least to be entertaining when the Goblins and Skaven start fighting each other for the ball!

Well as a guy born in downtown Seattle and raised by a man who lived in Denver for 20 years, this is basically the perfect superbowl for me. This IS in fact the superbowl I have been dreaming of ever since Seattle switched to the NFC. The problem is I WORK THAT DAY

Umm just so you remember: Seattle's record: 13 & 3 Denver's record: 13 & 3.... You don't get to that kind of record without winning some away games, I think it will be closer than you expect.
