I am pretty sure that last time this thread came up it as someone else with a lol wut avatar that posted it as well.

I taste shenanigans. It's how I smell, like a snake, with my tongue. Don't judge me!

Oh yeah, and I check out mod wrath. Cause I roll like that.

Always, I have a morbid sense of curiosity. I'd say I also use them to judge what not to ever say, but that would suggest I'm likely to suddenly abandon any notion of common civility without the cautionary examples of strangers demonstrating why I shouldn't, which I'm not.

I do it just to see how low and stupid people can get to get suspended or baned.

I always feel compelled to check, simply out of curiosity. They can be entertaining, however a lot of it is just spam.

I like to check them from time to time. I'm always surprised at how many idiots still get banned for the whole "First!" thing on videos. It just strikes me that just about every video that I ever look at the comments for has a couple bans right at the start for that exact behavior, and I have a hard time imagining why anyone would think they might be the exception to the rule.

I always check - usually because its funny. 50% of the time they say something retarded/insulting which is in itself funny and the other 50% of the time they say something genuinely funny but a mod was clearly having a SoH failure.

I do just to see if it was a bullshit reason and to know what I should refrain from doing.
This and/or the lulz.

My favorite ban? MaxtheReaper. I believe that it's since been deleted, but it was a pretty good one.

Edit: Also, I regularly check the ZP comments just to count how many idiots got suspended each week.

Oh how ironic it would be if someone could get suspended/banned in this thread.

OT: I tend to check most of the time, only if they were banned usually. Most recently I saw someone get banned for repeated flaming and arguing with Escapist staff. Can't fuck with the overlords.

Sometimes, you can find hilarious gems.
Usually, it's just plain old trolling or spam.

I dunno, I've seen I've seen people get flagged for just writing stupid stuff like "first" or "liked it", ect.

I look sometimes, but more often I try to avoid other people's drama. It just gets so tiring.
I laugh at a lot of things, but with forum flaming, people are often just banality incarnate.

I accidentally voted "no" and meant "every once in a while".

It depends on the thread they posted in.
If the title of the thread reads something like "ITT: flame each other about religion", then I can reasonably assume they were being a jerk.

If the title of the thread is innocuous, I check to see what they did wrong.

I've come to realize that people get banned for reasons I wouldn't have previously considered (posting too little on the OT), as well as for being a jerk for no reason (posting an irrelevant picture in a serious thread).

I usually do, so I know what not to say sometimes. And because I like to know things.

Then some just post one word, or one of those internet things like ' :p ' or ' this ' and don't realize why what they do has no meaning or value for the forum.
You can say that that has no value to the forum, but if you look at a lot of threads you'll find people effectively saying "I have no opinion on this matter, in fact I shouldn't even be posting in this thread but I am anyway". These people might as well be typing "lulwut", because that is all they are adding. I also find putting people on probabtion for quoting and adding "this" to be arbitrary, considering that if you quoted and type "I agree with this" you wouldn't receive a probation.

OT: I almost always click on the links, sometimes the posts are funny, most of the time they aren't but I can never resist in any case.

How many of you check to see why some users got suspended/banned? I do it quite frequently because I find every once in a while it can be quite hilarious. Also, what was the funniest suspension/ban you have seen? (censored down of course =D)
search bar is your friend ^^

And yes I always look for the thread and get disapointed when its a 403/404 one. Curiosity I would say.

Most suspensions are petty, not worth my time. Bannings on the other hand I always click!
