I think that the more creative the swear, the more intelligent the person. A simple '************' won't do it for me, but if someone bangs their toe and comes out with a 7 minute swear-rant involving phrases like 'sperm donut' and 'cock smuggler' then they certainly appeal to me. Also IQ measures logical intelligence as opposed to creative intelligence.
I did that... I was chastised heavily, and then it turned out I'd broken four of my toes. :D

I fail to believe in this test since ~25% claim they have an IQ of 140 or more, while this number in reality is just a few percent of the population.

I don't unless something has made me extremely angry or if it wouldn't make any sense if I didn't. I'm not like a kid on Xbox Live who will say "Fuck this fucking fuck you fucking assfuck I'll come to your fucking house and fuck you up" like they just passed a law saying that to be cool, you must incorporate the word "fuck" into every sentence you use. I also hate censorship, though. I don't talk like that because I'm trying to seem older or cooler like a lot of kids. I just hate those "replacement" words for swear words like "I'm going to kick your butt!" and stuff like that. It just makes you sound stupid.

I am an AP English student, and I have a considerably large vocabulary. I curse constantly. I like to think that I use it to emphasize my speech.

I swear, quite a bit actually. I don't believe in the concept of "foul language". Derogitory terms I can understand but a lot of these words seem like someone just didn't like them so he tried to force others to stop using them. It is also hypocritical because we call these words 'bad words' in an attempt to keep kids from saying them, but by defining a word as 'bad' that makes it rebellious thus making kids want to say them.
This.

I'm amused by the fact that there are more 141+ IQ votes than 100-120, and 0 <100 votes. Gotta love anonymity.
Yeah, that always happens if you ask people for their IQ... it's like a big "whose penis is bigger?" competition. :p

"I've got an IQ of 115!" (6 inches long)
"Well, mine is 132!" (8 inches long)
"Guys, guys, you both suck, mine is 155!" (someone who thinks 11 inches long is cool)

Oh, and at the end of the day, they are just words... words aren't bad, the tone and meaning expressed behind them is...

I'm 134 and I swear a lot.

My ex-PC technician (his a dude that works in a large company in technical assistance and he's the director there) is also quite intelligent, earns a lot by using his skills and he swears a lot.

I'm the smartest person I know, and I swear often. Mainly I swear out of anger, to add emphasis, or for comedic value. I swear for no other reason (there aren't many other reasons I can think of).
At least I know I'm more humble than you are, if you call yourself the smartest, then either you are full of yourself, or you know very few people.

I think that's because most of the people with IQ below average don't know how to use computers, don't know how to use the Internet or how to take an IQ test. Or simply don't want to share it.

I mean, would you rather tell about how you earn $3000 a week, or how you have to eat rotten bananas for breakfast because you're too stupid to get a job as a janitor?

So true. So true.
People tend to be optimistic when it comes to their own intelligence(mine is bigger!!. )

Swearing in moderation is fine, but swearing in excess like a goddam five year old who just learned the words shows that you truly have little intelligence, regardless of your IQ.

I think swearing has little do with intelligence. I mean I bet some scientist can say. "Aww shit I dropped the flask of very important chemicals." and not lose any IQ.
I've done that one about 20 times! Apparently one of the guys from my tutor group could always tell if things were going bad in lab because he 'could hear swearing in a loud northern accent'

Made me laugh.

OT. I think a lot of people will be bumping their IQ up a little on this, wouldn't surprise me if theres a disproportionate number of 141+ IQs! I don't think there is any correlation!

I'm guessing my IQ is in the 100-120 range and I swear a fair bit. Only when I'm stressed, mildly peeved or excited though. I definitely don't swear in polite conversation.

Swearing really has nothing to do with intelligence. Plus, IQ tests never measure intelligence, or at least, not correctly.
