I ask you, Escapists, how good are swedish fish? I love them, but my dad hates them, saying, "I don't even know what the hell they're made of" which is a decent critque, I suppose.

Accoding to wikipedia, they are made of:
Sugar, Invert Sugar, Corn syrup, Modified Corn starch, Citric Acid, White Mineral Oil, Artificial flavors, Coloring (FD&C Red 40 for the red color), Carnauba wax.

Take THAT!

Anyway, the question stands, how do you like swedish fish? For the uninitiated, they are "winegum" candies shaped like fish, as unappetizing as that sounds. Usually red, they taste like kick ass gummy bears.

None of those options fit for me. The taste is mediocre, but nonetheless, they are addicting as hell. I just couldn't stop eating them! It was a little scary.

Ah, I thought this might be about Surstromming.
Yes, I can't do umlauts and I don't know if it's actually Swedish but the story was so awesome it stuck in my head.

... and after actually reading the topic, I have no idea what you're talking about.

I've never tasted (or even heard of) Swedish Fish before, but they look kinda tasty on the Wikipedia picture...

Are they sold outside Sweden?
I'm not aware if they're sold in Sweden.

I'm surpised at how so few people have heard of them.

Surströmming is indeed Swedish and taste like epic salty awesomenes but smell like a pile of dead bodies.

EDIT: Oh, fu- i thougt you meant Surströmming and not the candy. The candy is sold almost everywere in Sweden but i would never have thougt it to be famous, as it really isn't that tasty. (or i'm just too spoiled with good candy ;P)

I laughed at the title, congratulations.

However, I have no idea what a Swedish fish is, so I'm gonna go with that.

Swedish Fish is my second favorite candy, next to Dots.
I love their texture and flavor.
and the fact they're fat free means I can shovel them in my mouth all day and not care (this is probably untrue but it makes me feel good about myself)

Swedish Fish are one of the best candies, and probably my favorite gummy candy. The Sour Patch Kids made by the same people are also excellent, but don't share the addictive quality that Swedish Fish have.

They're actually...made in...Canada. I don't understand it either...

But ohhhh they're sooo good! I adore swedish fish and sour patch kids too.

Never had them, but I'm not a massive fan of winegums anyway, so I'm guess they wouldn't be my favourite.

Mmm, Swedish Fish. They're so addicting. And I'm not a big candy fan either.

I only like Skittles, Reeses, Swedish Fish, and Dr. Pepper flavored Jelly Bellys. That's it.
