So I sent off my ps3 for repair. They sent me back a system that did not work. So I called to get that one repaired. Was on the phone for over an hour. They said they would send me a shipping box. After 5 days no shipping box. So I contacted them again to find they haven't shipped it yet. Took a 11 day to get the box. When they finally sent me another ps3 they sent it too wrong street address. So I have too go pick it up. Hope I don't have problem doing that. Any one else have repair nightmares?

I have a close friend who does all my repairs, he fixed an error with my ps3s laser by simply ordering a new one from japan and replacing the broken one, something that Sony would charge me an extortionate amount of money and about 3 weeks waiting and he did it in half a week and for £40.

I had issues playing one PC game (I will leave it anonymous) where it had a problem detecting that my video card was up to snuff. So, I contacted customer support for this game, who recommended that I uninstall my video driver, run a drive sweeper, then install an up-to-date driver. So, I do this. I don't know if I did something wrong or if the drive sweeper the guy recommended was bugged, but when I went to install the new driver, it would get stuck during the install. I wound up having to reformat my hard drive. Fortunately all my docs were backed up, but I still had to spend way more time than I would have liked reinstalling everything.

Surprisingly, no. The only console that actually failed on me was my PS3, and I live fairly close to a Play N Trade that repaired the console for $125. It was done in 3 days and it works like a charm now.
