Poll: TacoNews Nomination Thread

Now, I don't post too much when I come around to the forums, despite what my post count may say. However, when I do come around, I appreciate those posters who do add to the forums with creativity, intelligence and, perhaps, a little bit of zany or wacky comedy.

For as long as he's done them, PsychicTaco115's satirical "REPORT" threads have always been entertaining in their hilarity and have added that special bit of fun the forums rarely see nowadays. I, personally, would like to see this rewarded and, to that end, I am creating this thread to nominate PsychicTaco115's REPORTs to be added to The Escapist's "Featured Content" section.

Since it is highly likely that PsychicTaco115 will read this, if he does NOT wish to have this happen, then I will simply edit this thread to make it not a "Nomination" thread, but just to see who in our community would like to see it happen; a "would you like" thread, if you will. Escapist staff, if such a thing cannot happen for Taco because of whatever reason(s), please say so either in this thread or PMs, and I will edit the thread as mentioned previously.

Seriously, Taco's work has been pretty awesome when he does it and The Escapist benefits from having it around. If you, by chance, haven't given his REPORT threads a look, go and do so. You might just get that little chuckle to make your day a bit brighter than what it was.

Meh, I can't see any reason why not. I'm not a fan myself, but more jokey and non-serious content is probably exactly what this place needs.

I was unaware such a channel existed up until now. In any case, though, even if he does submit it, if this little poll thread gets enough positive feedback, he could use it as a kind of buffer or reference when doing so.

I don't see how anyone could be not in favor... Except him maybe.. maybe he doesn't want the pressure of having to abide and conform and the freedom to just do his own thing? It is sort of different when you just do things, than when someone expects you to do things.

Not that I'm not in favor, but if he becomes an official 'thing', wouldn't that make is Reports liable and slander? Like as a dude who just posts Anita Sarkeesian is a giant Crab and Microsoft wants to poke you in the butt, its funny ha ha!

But if its a actual article, fake or not, because it gets the Escapist stamp of actuality, doesn't that mean that the Escapist is officially saying that Anita Sarkeesian is a giant Crab and Apple is secretly part of the Vatican government?
And based on the freefire style of TacoNews, no one is safe. And what do you want to bet every last person or organization he targets is going to laugh good naturally and move on?

And what happens if Taco wants to write a funny article about a sponsor? I'm seeing a Shock Top ad right now, directly bellow these words. What if Taco writes that Breaking News: ShockTop Belgian Whites are actually made from the filtered aged piss of old Belgian white men who ate nothing but oranges for six months. When reached for a comment, ShockTop spokesmen Peter Ian Staker said "Well, yeah. What did you expect?"

Somehow I don't see the Escapist going along with that, and once you start editing and censoring satire, its not really satire is it?

I don't want to pretend to speak for him, but he hasn't really stuck with a "schedule", so I'm assuming he just writes these whenever he has time and/or inspiration.
