I'm designing a tattoo for myself once exams are over, as a "present" to myself. I'm hoping to have a dragonc rawling up my back, on my left shoulder. I wanted wings originally, but that was a bit cliché.
I am totally cool with tattoos, I think they look really cool (though too many looks weird).
I like your zombie, that'd look pretty awesome.

Ick! it could be cool to look at and all , but you gotta think about the future

i wont get any permanent one, just temporary look-good ones, if at all.

I've got the words 'extraordinary machine' inked on the inside of my left arm, in a vaguely Celtic looking font, in forest green.

My next tattoo is going to be of 19th century French porn! :D A topless double tailed mermaid. I'd link to the picture, but you know, it's tasteful, but still NSFW.

Then after that I am going to get a woman turning into a tree, and maybe some variation on the Poppy Fairy.

And at some point, I am definitely getting some of Trevor Brown's art on me.

I spend a lot of time with tattooed people talking tatts and planning them. It's good fun all round.

Wow, impressive. I wanted to give blood not too long ago but because of my tattoo i'm having to wait. It's a shame, really. Good for you though, if we had more people like you in the world we'd have a better place.
Thanks, but I'm not really that great of a person, I just enjoy donating and feel good that it will be able to help people out. I'm glad you're deciding to donate as well, we need as many people as possible. Good on you, thats fantastic!

Tattoos are nothing more or less than pieces of art that are part of your body and that you will carry with you until the day you die. I think that's beautiful and it's nobody else's business what somebody does to their body.

While I think piercings are less original, they are still an artful accent to your existing features, which is why people tend to get piercings that they can "pull off." It usually annoys me when people have dozens seemingly just for the sake of having them, though, but whatever. I won't ever put fifteen pieces of metal in my face, but I do want to get my tongue repierced and get a small stud in my left eyebrow.

But there is no future, friend. There is only this moment. Live it the most you can while you can, because you don't know how many more moments you're going to get.

Sleeves, I'd say, would be kind of... a lot. Or a really stupid tattoo is pretty distasteful, but smaller ones can be pretty cool.

My mom would literally disown me if I said that, though. XD

sometimes it is cool but i mean if u get older the tattoo is getting uglier and some people make them look worse with a tattoo

I like tattoos alot, but especially the meanings behind them. Im planning to get a few tattoos myself, but I dont know when im going to get them done. Meanwhile the more I wait, the more determined I get to actually take them. Wich is good.

One thing I definetly want is a Hanya mask on my shoulderblade for a variety of reasons. The biggest being to give shape to a traumatic event in my past. (Make an emotional scar a real one, would be the emo description) The face represents anger and sadness and it being on my back symbolizes that I left it behind me. I also wont need to see it everyday but it makes me feel good to know its there.

I too find the chain shackles from bioshock to be very nice and stylish, but i'd most likely regret it later. Id feel embarassed if someone recognized it, and the meaning of it doesnt suit me either.

I might consider getting more tattoos later. Maybe a guardian angel for when I have a child.

Well it is technically possible. But it's considered pretty damn stupid for people with bleeding disorders to get tattoos.

Sounds messy to me.

I have a stylized buffalo (native american style) on my shoulder blade. My best friend has a similar one his arm his is surrounded by a whole sleeve of tattoos though. I also have a '6' with a sprocket around it tattooed on my knee. My older brothers have 1-5 with a circle in different places. For example my 3rd eldest brother has a '3' on his elbow surrounded celtic-y knot.
Underneath all our 'circles' we have a 'we miss you 2' in honor of my late brother.
Aw, I really like that number thing you got going with your brothers. Thats a neat idea...

I have an eagle and a wolf that I drew years back on my shoulder, and recently got a tribal dragon with "TMFA" and the dates of MY late brother. I am planning on getting more, like two zodiac symbols both my wrists, Aires on my right and Virgo on my left, and a dragon ying yang on my ... I havent decided where yet.

I have several friends who have told me "omg why don't you get a tattoo?" and stuff like that. I mean I thought it was a cool idea like 10 years ago, but now I really don't want to bother with it, and the fact that people get on me about not having one makes me want one even less.

It's like... why do I have to follow what you guys like. Besides I'm brown skinned and I think tattoos on brown skin are ugly.

Oh, so you have Thrombocytopenia? Unlucky. You could always borrow some platelets from Inverse Skies.

I like tattoos. :) I have 4, but could only find pictures of 3. Apparently I don't have pictures of my hip taken that much, haha. All of my tattoos have a story behind them and a lot of meaning for me, and yes, that includes that Zelda one. :)

It's on my left wrist. I love it.

This needs touched up now, but I love it. My friend designed it for me.

This one hurt really badly actually, but I looks great when I'm rocking heels.

cool tattoo :)
i kinda want one, but i have a low pain threshold, and i cant decide what kind to get anyway XD
They really aren't that painful (though I have a high pain threshold, so maybe they would be for someone else). If you want to get one, try somewhere like your outer ankle (above the bone) or your inner wrist, it hurts less in those areas. Also, if you really think you want to get one but aren't sure you'll be able to handle it, you can ask the tattoo artist to go over a line without ink. That way you'll know how it will feel and whether you can handle any pain, but you won't have a permanent, unfinished line if you find out you can't take it.
hey, thanks! :) thats great advice, i might get one for my birthday now =D

Is it OK to have tatoo's on your wrists if you are going to work in a bank, or a shop, or anywhere that requires a uniform?
It really varies from place to place. Some places don't care, while others may ask you to cover it. I have a tattoo on my wrist (It's 3 posts up) and I haven't had an issue yet that wasn't solved with a large watch, bracelet, or long sleeve shirt.

Seems to me like it's something you'll probably regret later.
You are a lot less likely to be hired for a job if you have visible tattoos/piercings
As for piercing it probably depends on which ones. Earrings like most women have probably won't make a difference but something like eyebrow piercing probably matter.
