Chicks improve everything. As long as there isn't any gameplay advantage for playing a female (e.g. smaller hit boxes.)
Valve make a third game?Shameless said:maybe for Team Fortress 3.
Be that as it may, I'm not one of those people. But I also don't believe Valve should be held to this standard of whining stupidity when you don't see it for other games. Especially since I really believe it ruins the aesthetic of the game. I like the idea that the only woman in TF2 is the announcer, mocking the absurdity of it all and making fun of their short comings. Additionally, considering the psuedo story of TF2, you can actually have a fully justified reason for it only being men in combat, unlike the other titles I mentioned. They aren't a non stop stream of different people that look/act similar, it's a literal army of clones brewed up by Saxton Hale and his crazy Australium powered MANN CO. Saxton wouldn't make female clones, since he made his company named Mann Co.Pedro The Hutt said:And hey, the fact you're a woman yourself sadly doesn't mean much anymore these days, what with women like miss Bachmann proclaiming that a woman's rule is to be submissive to her man. So I'm afraid that there even are women who are afraid of strong female protagonists, but it's a comfort to know you're not one of those.
And I'd say Sniper's at the very least is a bit quirky, seeing how he delights in turning "everything above your neck into a fine red mist".
Not to forget the fact when it suggests to play as a character on the old menu screen it said try HER out instead of HIM as it is with all other characters.Biodeamon said:you do know that the pyro is probably a girl, right?Trezu said:![]()
i have only had TF2 for a brief period 2 months at the most and im a Free to player. but i thought that having Female's would have been a really good idea to have in a game and would have personally been on my list of things to Add to TF2.
if they did add Girls then there are more characters instead of the same people running around with a Top hat and stuff. they wouldn't even need to change any hats. even if you type Girl's in TF2 lots of photos and drawing of it pop up.
So alot of people are after it, but i want the Escapist's opinion here. Do we need girls in TF2?
please Explain your answer
I mean her/his voice is muffled by the mask so it could any gender and you wouldn't know.
Also their is a purse in the lockers in TF2 and all the rest of the classes are obviously men so that leaves only one charecter...i'm not trolling, look for it yourself
You could argue that spies are in front of the 'front lines...' Women served in the military and did a lot to win world war 2 they put themselves in danger to ensure our freedom.Jennacide said:Those aren't the front lines at all. The whole point of being a spy is you worked in the inner workings of the enemy to get information and perform sabotage, not join the soldiers on front line shooting at each other from trenches. So yeah, you could justify 2 of the 9 classes to have female members, but what of the other 7? They just don't fit.
Spot on with all 3 accounts. Wasn't it a zero punctuation where he showed a few slides of the silhouettes in TF2? Every character is 100% identifiable from their silhouette regardless of orientation, which is neat.vivalahelvig said:Didn't you know the pyro may or may not be a girl?
Really, it's because you each class has its siloette and a female versions could throw it outta wack.
And VALVe is too busy making more HATS!
1) Spies are not in the front lines, that is the point of being a spy. I didn't say women didn't contribute, I'm not an idiot. I said, quoting myself, "A period where women did not really serve in the military, let alone in the front lines." No part of what I said is false. Women were not readily accepted into the military, especially not the US military. Most of the notable women that helped in wars were as you said, engineers, which is civil work, not military, or spies, and most of the female spies in WW2 were not members of any military group, they were in militias if anything.xXxJessicaxXx said:You could argue that spies are in front of the 'front lines...' I don't get why is it such a problem really. Do men hate the presence of women that much that they refuse to have female avatars in a cartoon based game? (and no I wasn't referring to you)
Sorry but I don't think it is stupid at all. It would not take ANYTHING away from the game as it is at the moment and only add to the fun.Jennacide said:1) Spies are not in the front lines, that is the point of being a spy. 2) Do men hate the presence of women? Of course not, unless they're horrible mysgonists. The difference is what you are fighting for is becoming tokenized after the fact. A horrible, terrible idea. If we weren't in the game to begin with, let alone when it actually makes a fair bit of historical sense, why would you fight tooth and nail for it, when it's actually a detriment to our gender? Your arguement has repeatedly boiled down to "guys are in it, why can't we?" That is demanding token addition to a completed game because you don't like it. If you don't like it, don't play it, but don't drive to make it sound like every woman wants female avatars in TF2, cause I sure as fucking don't, and view the whole idea as stupid. Fight for it in a game where it makes sense, like the aforementioned Battlefield 3. It's not complete yet and has no justification for it's ommission.
don't be silly. valve cant count to three.Shameless said:maybe for Team Fortress 3.
