So, I've just finished my summer job, and now I am at a crossroads looking for some advice. I sold my old iPod and I have two options:

A) INvest in a great iPod, probably a new 32 gb or 64 gb Touch, to be used for music, movies, gaming, pretty much everything.

or

B) Buy a cheap shuffle or old nano just for music and buy a PS Vita, for everything else.

I own both a Macbook and a PS3, so both seem pretty appealing. But, I can't decide as to which option to go with. I made a poll to make it easier to gauge the choice.

Sorry, this is pretty selfish, but I'm looking for an outsider's opinion! Thanks for the help!

Get a great iPod. I have an 8GB which I use every day and I am struggling for space, I would love to have one with more GB of memory. I can never put many episodes of shows, or apps on because of size restrictions. Think of all the stuff you could do with a 64GB!

IMO - go with the older ipod and the vita. I have an older nano and whatever it plays music well what more do you need? Personally i hate gaming with a touchpad. Watch your movies on the bigger vita screen and obviously play your games on a system built for gaming. Listen to your audio music and podcasts on a cheaper device that was built to do that best. Taht's what i would do given the choice.

I kinda have the same problem as you. However I do Liston to few podcast on my PSP on the go because of the remote control that was made for it and media go connectivity. However last month I got a new phone (Samsung captivate) and found an app for podcast playing. The question is what device should I use for my shows? Answer, What ever it's easy for me and chose the PSP.

I haven't picked any because I don't know how much can you spend in time and space. Can you afford in your daily time to bring, manage and use 2 or 3 devices?

If so then, get the Vita and the ipod
If not then take the iPod Touch

Buy an mp3 player with decent audio, not an apple product. Read some reviews, I think Samsung regularly scores well on its audio quality. A much better option than an ipod nano unless you are a mac user. I don't have any of these devices but I did have a 4Gb Samsung Mp3 player that was half the price of an equivalent ipod and had better audio specs. I never used it much and gave it to my brother. It is still kicking 5 years on.
