A tentacle or bothrium (plural: bothria) is one of usually two or more elongated flexible organs present in animals, especially invertebrates. And just throwing this out there for unrelated reason, what would you do if tentacles appeared in front of you? Me, well i happen to have anti-tentacle spray.

I was wondering this too.
In fact I don't think it is possible to be in the modern world and NOT wonder where Hentai factors into this... interesting topic. Maybe the OP was hoping for pics? 0.o

Apparently [http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/NaughtyTentacles] they were originally used as a substitute for showing male genitals due to censorship laws at the time.

Doesn't mean some people don't find them arousing for their own reasons, though. Not sure what they are, but each to their own and all that.
