Here here! Nightwatch is clearly one of his best. Although having read "The Amazing Maurice and his Educated Rodents", i think that one might have stolen its crown. Although I do have a great love for Ned Coates in Nightwatch. I have no idea why.

EDIT: Oh and I THINK i've read everything he's written (except Nation, but I know I'm getting it as a Christmas present..)

Read him, love him, by far one of the greatest of our era.

Can't pick a personal favourite, tbh. All are incredible, though for preference I love the Watch series as well as the Death books.

EDIT: Pressed, i'd say Thud or Reaper Man.

Oh, and the Nac Mac Feegle. Legends.

Yeah, I'm a big Pratchett fan. My favourite is Feet of Clay.

I was actually in Colour of Magic as an extra. I'm in the credits and everything. Fuck yeah.

They made a movie? I have seen Hogfather but haven't heard of any others.

Are you American? Most Americans don't know unless they're dedicated fans. They made a Colour of Magic/Light Fantastic combo.

Also, the full names of my cats are Sir Samuel Vimes (Sammy) and Isobel Sto Helit (Izzy)

I haven't seen anything so far but excerpts from Hogfather (being in the States), but I did hear there was a movie of CoM. I think Sean Astin plays Twoflower?

Love it all, want to see it sooooooooooooooooooooo bad, though I think a younger Rincewind would have been better, I always pictured him 30-ish.

I like Pratchett, he's one of the few authors that I still check at the bookstore every time I go. Steven Brust is another.

I think Feet of Clay was his most tightly-plotted novel. It's a tossup between Vimes and Granny Weatherwax for my favorite character.

My brother has been reading the "Guards" novels recently and surprised me by saying that Carrot was the protagonist. Hah! Vimes is the protagonist. Carrot is more of a foil for Vimes than an independent character.

Terry Pratchett is the Love of my literal life
He's enchanted me ever since i picked up The Light Fantastic
I actually lied in your poll, i ticked "read everything" but i haven't got my hands on Soul Music yet
I feel that DEATH and Vimes (and his "Guarding Dark") are the best characters but i like Angua and Weatherwax quite alot too
Moist Von Lipwip still feels like a very "new" character to me but his quirky aesthetic is very endearing, everyone loves to here about someone "getting away with something" and he demonstrates that beautifully
I loved Mort because of how it explored DEATH and how it led to the eventual introduction of his Grand-Daughter, whom i find brilliantly entertaining
Her, hiddeenly awkward, stark nature blanketing genuine care and love for her grandfather, who could never understand those ties, tugs my heartstrings everytime
THUD! is one of the most amazing emotional rollercoasters i have ever taken whilst reading
In the caverns under the field of the troll-dwarf ambush where Vimes is lurching through, feels his son crying and screams the story of "Where's My Cow?" whilst slaughtering the dwarfs actually makes me cry

P.S. I'm not a woman that bit's just good alright
P.P.S. what other genious would think of killing people with the pleasure of chocolate than Pratchett?

The thing you have to love about the Discworld series is how they make a valid point about something. Read The Science of the Discworld books (there are two), and you'll see how he illustrates some pretty complex stuff with bits of the novels.
Also, Nation is absolutely fantastic, especially if you read too much into it as I suppose I did.

My mum's got pretty much all of his works as far as I know. I've only read 'The Amazing Maurice' and 'Only You Can Save Mankind'. I also got his autograph when he was signing books at WHSmith one time, whereas my my sister got his latest book signed for my mum's Christmas present.
I have signed copies of Going Postal, The Light Fantastic, Theif Of Time, Soul Music and The Last Hero. Book signing in Sydney. He's really short, surprising enough.

I've heard that when working with an artist for a map, he corrected a mistake regarding rain shadow which lead to an implausible river. The man has incredibly varied knowledge, which might take the Alzheimer's quite a while to erode. With his having worked in a nuclear plant, the "breakaway oxidation phenomena" joke about Rincewind in The Color of Magic becomes even funnier. I've also seen a picture somewhere of him with a stuffed duck on his head (a la the Duck Man).

There are actually three.
My favourite is still Night Watch. While the Rincewind books are funny, the Watch books are very satirical...
And where's the option for 'have read most of his books, but don't have the time / money to read the rest at the moment.'?

It's strange but I've only read one book a book about people that like terry pratchett and seen a cartoon apparently based on his works.

Starting to feel out of place all of a sudden.

EDIT: Still havn't been able to find the cartoon again though.
