I'm fairly sure I act in a similar way online as I do off. Maybe I'm just wierd. Though since I can't even play a bad character in RPGs I'm fairly sure I just really don't want to offend people. Even people that aren't real people but figments of some devs imagination. Yeah that sounds a lot more wierd written down.
