i love driving around country roads and exploring the outlying areas of my town. On the otherhand, I hate wasting all that gas and the way that society has conveniently been organized into consecutive parallel rows and columns. Maybe that's why I like the disjunctive chaos of country roads - sloppy but efficient (as in you can go REALLY REALLY FAST)

I don't really like cars, I prefer to run to my destination, but they are invaluable when traveling long distances. I hate driving, I could have received my learners permit 5 months ago but I've been procrastinating. I can't wait to get a place in town so I won't have to drive. I'm going to get my motorcycle license after my car license because motorcycles are cheaper to run, sure they're more dangerous but I don't really fear death. Incidentally I'm planning to do an engineering course at uni, either mechanical or civil, I haven't decided.

If we knew what we did now, the car never would have made it. But we didn't, and the sheer amount of money we would have to spend to fix it is to much. So we just have to figure out how to work with it.

I use public transportation, but hope to jump on the cycling band wagon soon.
Depends where you live. American Public transport isn't that good, although I hear Japan's is amazingly reliable and tightened.
Thankfully, I don't live in the US, and I can say public transportation is decent in Europe, even if I'm in one of the worst countries from Europe. Also, for using public transportation, there a 'wealth' factor as well.
