I used to use Bit Defender Gaming Edition and it was amazing to say the least. But my subscription ran out and I need a free alternative until I can purchase a new copy. I tried the free version of Bit Defender, but its a little on the disappointing side compared to its full copy. I need an opinion on the best free anti-virus/anti-spyware/anti-malware/anti-everything. Which one is most thorough in its scans/blocks? Which ones play with games the best? (no bullshit firewall problems) And which ones work fine on windows 7?

(after typing up the poll, I realized a lot of security programs start with "A", I wonder why?)

I use AVG on my computer, and it hasn't caught on fire yet. So I think it's good.
