zombie apocalypse? kid? well i might kill the kid myself, im sorry but CHILDREN DO NOT BELONG IN SERIOUS NARRATIVES UNLESS THEIR SOLE PURPOSE IS TO DIE if theyre used for anything else (except possibly growing up and becoming usefull characters) they shouldnt fucking be there.
and besides, im not enough of a super-badass to get a KID through, dead weight is ungood. i would likely lie to them and use them as a distraction... i know im evil, but the kids fucked up for the rest of his/her (likely very short anyway) life. having a second person to keep watch is always good, but i dont know, it depends on the scale of the thing. if it was a worldwide catastrophe i might just take one now, save the other for later, if it was a "must escape city" thing, murderer gets one too. and he/she kills for fun? perfect! if theyre virus zombies this is double awesome because theyre still technically alive and i can LIE and say they still feel pain, just dont react to it!
