It's amazing what boredom can do. For some, bordom can result in building something. For some, it can lead to dieing of said boredom. For others, they do some pretty weird ass shit.
Well, for me, boredom does 1 of a couple of things:
1. Attempt suicide
2. Type a rant of anything
3. Make a random story of something random.
Well, unfortunately, as a result of my boredom, I have chosen to do number 3. But this isn't some ordinary story, oh no, it's a reimagining of the story of the CONSOLE WARS. I know, it's stupid isn't it? Well.....I was EXTREMELY bored. If this turns out well, I can continue on with this. It will be divided into sections/acts/parts and the like, and first up will be Sony since I am admitedly loyal to Sony and the only reason why I thought up of this was (besides bordom) I was thinking about the condition of the PS3 now. Don't worry, I'll get to the others later (if there is a demand for it) and I'll try to keep this as unbiased as possible.
Well, this is the epilouge/prolouge (forget which one comes before) and I guess you can think of these as the Star Wars episodes 4-6 and with the begining of the consoles as 1-3.
So, here's a short summary of the begining, and just a heads up for PC gamers you guys will get a very special role ;P (if people want more of this that is...) :
The Console Wars Dramaticus: The tale of Consoles
Epilouge
In the begining there was chaos. There was no form of entertainment, no form of emotional communication, no form of fun. There was only the fears of the outside as some very unfortunate souls could not bear to sociolize.
But then, there was light.
Out of nowhere, a great stroke of colorful beams swept the sky, and out came a beautiful device called: The Atari 2600. It was new, it was fresh, it was the start of a new era for people all around the world.
It was the "Golden Era".
Throughout this "Golden Era" gaming was at it's fetal point. Barely started, it began to evolve throughout the ages and started to become something more than a console. It was life for some people.
As time went by, however, the people wanted more. They required their thirst to be quenched with something better than this cheap wine that this Atari 2600 gave them. The Atari could not give it to them, and as time went on, things seemed bleak for the future of gaming.
But, all of a sudden, out of the blue yet again another console came along. The Nintendo Entertainment System.
But our story does not start here, for this story is a tale of betraile. A story of cunning, a story of love and friendship.
I'm sorry to say for all you Nintendo fans, but this is the story of the Playstation and its legacy. In due time, we shall see what the "Father of Gaming" brought to us and that sweetens the anticipation of the story.
But for now, we shall see the rises and fallings of the Playstation and it's children.
Love it? Hate it? Screw you? What do you have to say about this lackluster or blockbuster shattering epilouge?
If you guys want, I can continue the story as I'm just ITCHING to type it up and actually have people read it instead of my friends laugh at it. Please put some critique, I do like writing sometimes and I want to improve any way possible.
