You wake up to find a demon has given you a deal. If you give up your place in heaven/hell,and stay in purgatory forever, you get wings and the power to turn invisible.

Do you take the deal?

Me,no. Too risky. Any way, heaven sound nice. :p

Actually having met some of the people that seem to believe they are going to heaven, I'm of the opinion it's not really some place I want to be.

To be perfectly honest experiencing eternity on any level basically sounds like hell to me so I guess I'm going to be screwed regardless of what happens to me.

on that note flying and invisibility don't really rate high on my list of powers I want.

I have ZERO clue what purgatory is, so yes.
Besides if I take the offer then maybe someday I can become a demon.

purgatory is the halfway point between heaven and hell, most affiliated with earth.ghosts are beings in purgatory basically.

That has to be the worst deal ever.

Condemn yourself to eternal semi-damnation for a deal from a demon, a demon.

Their is gauranteed to be some horrific catch like your wings are the span of a 747 or he turns you permanently invisible, except when you need to be.

I suppose it would really depend. Assuming a Judeo-Christian-Islamic presence of Heaven and Hell (well...okay, a specifically Christian conception), if I actually expected a place in Hell, than naturally, I'd take the deal. Otherwise, I'd ask for qualifications.

That is the easiest deal to subvert. Having wings does not necessarily mean one can fly, and complete invisibility requires complete blindness.

Well, assuming I believed in those places:

-Heaven sounds boring.
-Hell sounds painful.
Flying around and being invisible (science and physics problems aside) would be quite interesting.

So there's my answer.

Isn't purgatory "Hell for a couple of minutes".
Rinse of your sins with torturing flames before being sent to god's place.

So, basically I'd end up in not-Hell Hell, a place identical to Hell.

The existence of a demon giving me such a choice would pretty much prove those places true, thus I would prefer not to be burned for all eternity to get wings and chameleon powers for a few years.
