So I'm dyslexic which seems to be pretty common these days I'm just wondering if there is many of us here on the escapist. Feel free to share your dyslexic stories and how it effects you. Myself I find I miss the endings off words (things like ed, ing, etc) and have to take my time making these posts, however the uni gave me a free laptop so its all good.

For those not in the know http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dyslexia and search bar approved

I've got a dyslexic story.

A few bastards at my school fake being dyslexic just so they can have the 'extra twenty minutes' at the end of every test.

I think that's quite lame, seeing as people who really struggle with this disability are marked as dumb.

No I am not dyslexic. Thanks for asking.

Have a few dyslexic friends and family members though, that count?

I do not believe that I am dyslexic, although at least one of my friends is... He didn't really get the help that was meant to be given to him for it, so I ended up helping him sometimes...
Although I have been messing up a lot of the endings for my words recently, and quite often have to go back to change it, or notice it after I post...
I had to go back and change one of the endings for a word in this post :|
Dammit... why do I seem to be falling apart...

I'm not but can I just say that whoever thought of the word dyslexic was really evil. Same with the dude who put an s in lisp.

Other than the occasional time I read too quickly or rearrange letters in a word, I'm pretty much anti-dyslexic. But a couple of my friends and my favourite teacher in highschool had it so I'm sympathetic to the cause.

No, but i did have this thing that made me see "rivers" going down a page of text. But only when the page is white and the text is black.

Well, both of my parents are dyslexic.
I have never been tested for it, or anything. But I do know I fail at spelling, quite a bit.
I have no problems reading or with math, but I seem to forget how to spell the easiest of things sometimes.
Thankfully my computer has a spell check feature.

Though it would be a miracle for me to not have inherited it if both of my parents have it.

I'm not dyslexic, but more recently I've noticed I somtimes have difficulty getting words out of my mouth. It's like I've got the word in my head but for some reason I just can't say it, it's like my mouth and tongue have been locked down temporarily.

I'm dyspraxia. -Waves- I guess it's more a cousin disorder, but hey from people on my side anyway. xD

Though, my mum has dyslexia, and she has never been sure if I have it or not.
