I think [as stated before] Halo is not really that good of a game, its to over hyped, and does have some solid game play, but it lacs uniqueness to set it apart from all of the other FPS's personally, I would go for a game that is out of the box [aka TF2]

Yeah. 2 and 3 were multiplayer geared- with CE, Live didn't really exist in its current form and they weren't so concerned with a multiplayer game. And the multiplayer was pretty unbalanced when I played it a few times- "touch a moving vehicle and die unless it's going less than 2 mph" and "the pisol" were pretty breaking/broken factors. Still, it was epic fun for just glitching/tricking, maybe moreso than 2 and 3 since there were less boundaries to work around.Anachronism said:

I think Halo as a series has some really great campain, Halo 1 was epic okay? For it's time an for all time one of the most action intense campaigns ever.
Halo 2 took on the role of the Arbiter and extended the variety of weapons and vehicles while enchancing current ones.
Halo 3 was short yes, but with great set pieces and four player co-op I really didn't care.
Halo has solid campians with many different ways to play through it. I just wish people would stop being so biased.

Actually I think the threads find me, though in truth yeah I have been in a lot of them lately, it's something I keep telling myself to avoid. But every single time I see another thread about how Halo is average and boring when most people have heard it enough times already it makes me really angry.SharPhoe said:

I liked the campaign in the first game, but I believe that Bungie quickly realized that their multiplayer was much better than their single player. The campaigns in 2 and 3 were average at best. I think Bungie spent the majority of their resources on multiplayer development.
So long as hating on Halo is the "cool" thing to do, these threads are going to keep appearing. I know exactly how you feel, believe me (it's the same thing for me with people who constantly need to assert the same biased generalizations about anime and JRPGs), but sadly, we might as well be yelling at a brick wall...Vrex360 said:

These threads need to stop. I think any thread with the word "Halo" in the title from now on (that isn't in the Reviews section, of course) should be auto-flagged for mod review. Since it seems like 99% of Halo threads around here are nothing but blatant (and often quite personal) hatred of both Halo and the people who play it, my opinion is that anyone posting about Halo should be forced to work extra hard to make their thread different and better than the usual anti-fanboy ranting.
