They actually do have a legit way to keep them alive. WAS IV drip or something. I think its what they do for coma patients.

But what does that achieve? You couldn't even make them wreak havok because you would need them hooked up to a bloody drip 24-7!

He kidnaps people to do horrific experiments on, then they suffer for awhile, then cops intervine, people die. I did not actually see it, but from what I read, it makes me think of Saw 1.

Well, actually I saw it and I got the impression this is the director#s personal fetish. If you watch is a satire of scat/gross horror movies it can get hilarious.
If you look a little deeper it is a solid film but just average. I guess it is only popular because it is nasty and has a somewhat unique premise.

It was alright. As a spectacle it wasn't interesting but in terms of acting, script, music, settings, costumes and storyline it was rubbish

The had so much potential and all that happens is it walks about a bit and then everyone dies.. Sorry to spoil it for anyone but the main point is the spectacle and if you're seeing it for that reason go for it but as a film or even a horror film it is rubbish in almost every single way

And yeah me neither, Besides I much prefer psychological horror movies. Mainly because I find that anyone with an active imagination can throw together a bunch of batshit insane things and come up with a body horror movie.

No I didn't like it, but not because of its gross factor. Because it was badly written, poorly constructed, and not well-acted (The guy who played as the mad scientist was fun to watch though).

Brilliant! A great exercise in body horror, but also subtly underplayed. I really enjoyed it, great tension.

I can't wait for the sequel. It's not out here.

Still, I think that when you say "disgusting nonsense premise", I don't think we're at the same operating level really. Reading about the premise of this film made me very intrigued indeed, but that's just the kind of movies I watch.

I heard the sequels all about a massive centipede, and less about anything else. And that the director only made the first to a taste of what he had originally wanted.
