Okay, so my Xbox is starting to go on its last legs and is starting to slowly eat away at a few of my games, it decided it didn't like Saints Row 2 and GTA IV, but i love the little guy so i let him be... after beating him with a stick.

SO, i was thinking of getting the new xbox by trading in my old one, however i've always been cautious about buying new technology within the 6months it's been out so the company have enough time to work out the kinks. But i really like the look and sound of it, quieter, quicker, more air. It just sounds BETTER. Something the Xbox has needed for a while.

So i need some escapist community help. Should i trade in my old one or keep it?

From all the reviews I've seen, it's a good upgrade. It also has built in wifi, which is a nice touch.

So hey, why not? You also get a warranty on the new thing, so even it breaks you can get it replaced.

Microsoft are very dodgey on warranties, at least with me they are. My warranty wasn't up for 2 months yet they said it was. They gave up and fixed it in the end but still a little dodgey.

I've had trouble with my warranty before, they tried to fiddle me out of 2months and i was a bit set back by it.

Yeah I got it last week, it's good, worth it so far just for the quiet, and also the built in wifi. If you don't have to spend too much on it then I would definitely say go for it!

I'd say yes then if it's breaking. I mean, why not? You can play all the games that aren't working. Seems like a worthwhile investment to me.

I would say go for it. Any systems manufactured after November of '08 have the new chipsets in them so they're much better. The newest slim model also has a built in shut down if the system gets too hot, which could be annoying, but on the other hand it would tell you something's wrong with your setup or you've been playing too long.

It's totally worth it, though if you're a Halo fan I'd get the Halo Reach special edition. It looks fuckin' awesome.

Well, I got mine free, but I think it's selling for about £200. Shop around see where you can get it cheap.
