I'll see how things pan out, but I wouldn't buy a PS4 or the innumerately named XBox One on launch in any case (not just for "cock up" launch reasons, but also to ensure their is a decent size back catalogue)
Same, but I'm still cautious. I'll probably not buy it on launch, but I'll wait for some good games to appear first. Already got the money put aside though.Arina Love said:PS3 is my system of choice for this gen and i have no reason not to believe that Sony will deliver more of the games and genres that i love on PS4!
Ninja'd, this is basically exactly where I am too. I've always avoided Microsoft and Sony consoles, but for different reasons as time has gone on. When I was a kid they were too expensive, and most of the games were rated M anyway. As a teenager I never really felt a strong need to buy them because all my friends had them already and so I could pretty much play them whenever I wanted just by visiting a friend, now I avoid them because I can afford a decent PC and don't see the point in buying a console as well. Sony would have to really wow me with something incredible for me to buy a Playstation now.xPixelatedx said:No... but maybe yes.
Last gen I found both he PS3 and the Xbox 360 to be basically the same thing (the PS360), with only the wii trying to look genuinely different form the group by doing it's own thing.[small]please note that does not mean I liked the wii most, it was actually 3rd on my list for other reasons[/small]. I always like console races better when there is a HUGE distinction between the competitors, and I just don't see it with Microsoft and Sony. Granted, I'll start seeing it soon if Sony finally confirms that they allow used games and you don't need to use the eyetoy 100% of the time. But if they really are being tight lipped about that stuff because they do have the same stance as Microsoft, then they really are just the same all over again. If they prove they are genuinely different, I will considering getting a PS4 one day. As of right now, I am happy with my wiiU, and extremely excited to see the games they said they would announce at E3.
