It's nice to know the truth; it grants power.

On the other hand, I do want to be happy. But to stay ignorant would not necessarily grant me eternal happiness, as would knowing the truth not cause constant sadness.

So, overall, I pick the truth. It is what governs and drives humanity.

I would rather be happy. Generally knowledge makes me happier but in this scenario I would choose to be ignorant because then I simply wouldn't care and there would be fun times had by all.

The red pill. Because while awful truths may hurt, if you don't seek them out you'll spend the rest of your life wondering what would have happened had you chosen something else. Lies are comforting, but they can be a form of denial, and denial usually isn't healthy.

Maybe there is no such thing as absolute truth..

we are all ignorants to a lesser or grater degree.. we're either unhappy ignorants, or happy ones..

or just so deluded and missled that we actually believe we hold some sort of knowledge/truth


so basically... the question should be more like: would you rather be aware of how little you know... or would you rather think you know everything?

(clearly knowing everything is impossible to achieve for certain... because you wouldn't know if there's more to know, than you already know.. (that probably doesn't make sense))

knowledge only seems to exist in context and in comparison.. so..

THE QUESTION SHOULD BE:

Which would you prefer:
Know more than everyone else, and be the most miserable
Know less than everyone else, and be the happiest
