As part of my case study on Rumble Features in controllers nowadays and part of my curiosity, I was wondering what people felt of the feature built-in to our controllers.

Personally, I enjoy it, the feeling I get after blowing up a building or shooting a zombie's head off is pretty satisfacory, but the fact that vibrations are then triggered as a result of my actions help me to feel a bit more immeresed in the game!

What do you think?

Feel free to post reasons why you like/dislike it, anything helps! Thanks! :)

I don't understand how vibration settings help with immersion, but I'm pretty indifferent towards them. It would be weird if all my old games lost the vibration settings, but I wouldn't really notice if all the new games I buy didn't have any.

Well I use a keyboars a mouse most of the time, so I don't get a rumble feature, which I find is good for PCs, rumble would be a bad idea. I do like the rumble feature though, it felt good when shooting a gun/hitting an enemy/whatever.

I don't mind it, most of the time. So long as it plays whenever there is action, or never. Half half is annoying, why does this landslide rumble, but not this explosion?

Horror games use rumble exceptionally well. For example, in Fatal Frame, the rumble goes off like a heartbeat whenever ghosts are near, and at least in Silent Hill 2, the rumble lets you know how low your health is.
