Games just don't seem to be as good as long ago and it wasn't immersion so don't mention it. Its like games really have no feel to it I think its cause we need a new thing to move on to. Then 3 months after that we all start gaming again and who knows it might be fun, or maybe its cause all the good ideas we've thought of is either not yet out or after the 17 final fantasy then someone will think about making it. Answer the poll and share your opinion.

The list is updated and there is such a thing as elimination(like if a 3-5 games have at least a 30 vote lead)

Right now its down to Fallout3 with the lead vs. Left 4 Dead

you know its more like a Contest. both of these games will be here next week with different competition but the votes will be reset.

This may upset some people...

Preview to next weeks options: Gears of War2, LittleBigPlanet, Alone in the Dark(hahaha), maybe Dead Space, Resistence2, and Guitar Hero World Tour. BTW you can find some of next weeks games in my other thread now. results tommorow

I admit i have not played Fallout 3 yet, but i guess my favorite game out of these is the Force unleashed, even if you don't seem to think it's a serious choice...

Fable 2 actually. It's pisseasy, and it's hilarious to just go on a rampage and slaughter everyone you see.
So the whole story is a piece of shit, but you have to agree that shooting a guard in the balls and then shooting his head clean of is fucking awesome.

But Fallout 3 is fun, but not as I thought it would be like (maybe because I have just recently unlocked the GNR tower.. hm)

Dude, use the quote button please. As for your question, I've played all the serious games on there, and I have to say that Fallout 3 was the best by far. Then again, I've pumped 320+ hours into Oblivion, so I might be biased.

Where is the option for people playing quality games?
Just out of curiosity what games would those be?
I couldn't name any recent ones, to be fair. I just know the one's on the list aren't really up there. While I wouldn't know if Left for dead actually is good, on it's own, or just because of the multiplayer aspect, that is unfortunately common with the type of game, since I haven't played it, the rest are mediocre, at best.

What's really interesting about the list though, is that the concepts behind all of them, with the possible exception of fable, are really solid. The execution however is really bad. They had the potential of being the aforementioned quality(, much more so than any other newish games, apart from maybe Spore that had the same failing,) games, but sadly failed at it, because of the execution.

A quality game would be something tha had both execution, concept and design behind it. I could list a number of old games that perfectly fit this, but that would be the same 10-20 games I list in every other thread here. I suppose Mount and Blade is newish, it was at least released rather recently, and it has these elements, the concept, the design and the execution of the gameplay are all excellent.

I highly suspect that the same is true for The Ship, that I heard about just now and started reading up on, but I can't really say, since I haven't tried it out myself, something I intend to correct shortly.

I suppose the Battlefield games it the cathegory as well, but considering how fast this medium is moving I suspect they are old as well.

Ouch.

I've recently completed LBP.
Rinsed Burnout Paradise.
Starting Uncharted later.

I've played two of these games: Mirror's Edge and Force Unleashed (which shouldn't be on the list - eurgh).

It was a really hard decision for me between Fable Two and Fallout 3, but surprisingly for a Bethesda game, Fallout 3 was more polished, complete, ran better, better combat in my opinion. Although both are steps in entirely different right directions.

I've only played Fable 2 and Left 4 dead so far, not much of a competition to be honest. Mowing down Zombies or Working as a Barman. Hmm...
