At World's End is easily the smartest of the three films but I think Shaun of the Dead is the funniest.

Hot Fuzz is by far my fave. Surprised it's come out on top here though, I thought Shaun of the Dead was generally considered the best.
The World's End. The themes of alcoholism, addiction, and learning to overcome your personal problems (Represented for the characters by the Blanks, each one represented one of the main characters vices) really resonated with me. I've had family and friends with these issues and so it just really got to me dramatically. It's not the most funny in my book, that would be Hot Fuzz, but it was easily the best dramatically.
Hot Fuzz is definitely my favourite. I live in a little town not unlike the one in the film (except on the coast) and there are many moments that make me think of people I know. Shaun is a classic too, though I have seen Worlds End yet. Must rectify that soon.
On a related note, better still than all these is Spaced, the TV series Pegg/Frost/Wright did before going into movies. Insane to the point of nonsense, poignant, hilarious, an entire section filmed Resident Evil style. Whats not too like?

I never laughed once at hot fuzz but I loved Shuan of the dead ... the worlds end was the middle child, I loved the rant at the end about humans being shit but I am not one for the drinking culture, so the "all the lads get together for an epic bar crawl" is unrelatable to me but I can see how others would relate to it.
Shaun of the dead kept me very entertained and had the odd LOL. Hot fuzz made me look for the jokes. Worlds end was ok, was quite impressed with the fight scenes and loved the speech at the end.

I refuse to vote as choosing between Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz will always be a tough choice. They are both so, so good, and choosing a favourite is a sign of disrespect to the other.
The World's End is my least favourite of the three. It is still a very good film, but following on from two of the best British comedies of all time was always going to be a difficult task. It was a very solid, very funny conclusion of the trilogy that showed the balls possessed by Pegg and Wright, but it was not as good as Shaun and Fuzz.

Shame tie isn't an option. I guess I'll go with Shaun Of The Dead. Out of the three it's the only one that gave me enough jokes to annoyingly work into everyday conversations.
Saw Shaun of the Dead first, and it's my favorite as well, I liked Hot Fuzz, but it's a slow starter, only about half the movie is actually fun.
The World's End I stoped watching early on, still at the party, because it was just so awkward and boring, it wasn't funny, it just made me cringe. It probably gets better after that, but it made me actually hate the beginning so much that I couldn't be arsed to see it through. I don't like cringe comedy, it's why I also couldn't get into Pegg's TV-series Spaced.
Paul is amazing though, better than the whole trilogy imo.
