although i think the pillars of creation is some of the most artistic natural beauty i've ever seen, i'd rather say that, with a biased opinion of only trying one, this is my favorite universe.

they're a part of the eagle nebula, but they're not a nebula in itself. i didn't mention the entirety of the eagle nebula because, frankly, i don't care for the entirety of it. the pillars themselves stand out, not the nebula. don't be so damn bureaucratic when there's no need to be.

Nebula or Nebulae. So purdy. So are they just gigantic colourful clouds of floating space dust or something?

That would depend on the mass and composition of the star. Some just burn out.

But my vote goes to black hole.

Everything regarding the Universe is quite amazing and beautiful. I am a sucker for pretty colours so Nebulae, although black holes are so badass that they come close (nom nom nom galaxies etc).
