Well, I just got back from seeing The Wolverine and I must say that I really enjoyed it. Quality action paired with an actually decent story and interesting characters. Sure it didn't change my world, but it was just what I wanted and more out of a superhero action movie.

Note, that I am not really familiar at all with the original series of comics it was based on beyond the bare basics so I have no idea how true it was to them. For those who have read them, I'd be interested in knowing how they feel it was translated.

Oh, and yes, there is a teaser after the first set of end credits. I loved it.

Anyway, what are your thoughts on The Wolverine?

I haven't seen it yet, and after the abortion that was the last Wolverine movie, I'm not planning on seeing this until the dvds are on netflix. Is this thing in any way better than the previous movie, and should I actually be interested in it?

I have yet to see it, but all I hear is, it's better than Origins but still not that good.

Also, did they ruin Silver Samurai? If they did, I'll be pissed.

It has no connection at all to the other Wolverine solo movie outside of featuring the same character, and yes, it's tons better than that garbage. If anything, it's a direct sequel to where Wolverine ended up after Last Stand but ties more into general knowledge of the character than anything specific about LS beyond the ending.

I liked it much more than Origins, not just as a story but also as a movie in whole. I have no idea how Silver Samurai compares to the source material, but if there was one part of the movie I would point out as particularly flawed, it was him. I didn't like the visual design at all and I felt he really only got maybe 5 minutes of really being fleshed out as more than Mr. Scary Final Boss.
