Most of those are actually good games. The worst, by far, is E.T. for Atari 2600.
Yes once again that's the point. btw E.T is not the worst game ever. in fact it's not that bad. The problem is, it's very confusing to play unless you have a guide. Being one of the very rare atari games you can beat, it was ok. Problem is when the chips were on the table no one wanted to buy.

the worst game in history has got to be Truckers over the road racing. Youtube that and you'll see why. :)

Oh you bastard. That's so unfair. I also notice you only put in one game that's not from before 2000.
Close, but mainly I put one for each console. I tried to not only get very good titles, but ones people would have played more. I'm sure I didn't pick the best game for each console, that falling to a very VERY endless debate.

Half Life 2.

Who.

THE HELL.

Put... that... game...

IN THE POLL?! You should be ashamed.

http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/halflife2

Now. Say it again. Say Half Life 2 has a flaw. 96. From 81 reviews. One of the best PC games ever.
Well said, good sir/madam
I don't think you understand. All of those games are pure gold, fantastic games that have formed gaming into what it is today.

The poll is about what is teh worse title of all those good titles. No-one is accusing any of those games to be bad.

Well, exept Final Fantasy 7 obviously.

Close between Sonic and Zelda, but I decided to go with Sonic because I don't think I purchased that game, which means I didn't think it was good enough to validate purchase. To me though, Zelda was a little overhyped, and in my opinion not as fun as Zelda 1. These are all good games though.

Half Life 2. It seems like quite a pretentious game to me because of all the physics puzzles. The vehicle sections were pretty bad to. Its still a very good game though, I'm not denying that, but whenever I play it I can't help but feel that Valve are just showing off.

I'd say Sonic the hedgehog three, since Sonic games were my least favorite on the list. . . But my personal hate goes to the Killzone game.

Why? Simple.

Because it's boring.

The story, the characters and even the hundreds of duplicated soldiers for the gameplay, make it a snore fest.

Which is wierd for a WAR game.

Sonic.

The entire series.

Includes each and every single Sonic game ever produced on this Earth including crossovers but excluding Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl. Because they're that awesome. Yeah.

Sonic. I was never a big fan of the series even when it was 'good' (I'm quoting a fan I know) because I hated the ring system and that has not changed, plus Sonic is so soft even a risky move that guarantees getting hit can screw you over. After that it would be Mario Bros because it uses the lives and timer systems (not timer systems in general, don't get me wrong), both of which I hate when they serve no useful purpose outside of arcades. Next up is Zelda due to my skepticism of me knowing how to get the damn silver arrows without my friend telling me as well as the occasional off-screen enemy shooting me out of nowhere. After that Final Fantasy 7 for encouraging the notorious better animated cut-scenes and some bits feeling artificially lengthened as well as requiring to use the submarine since that made me run into Emerald Weapon way too often. So yeah, by process of elemination Half-Life 2 is the least worst game on that list in my opinion. Sonic is the only game on there I can't find anything really redeeming about, but I'm sure a fan of the series can help me out on that.

Okay, lets address the main problem. I have played all of the Final Fantasy games (except before crisis and that one for the mobile phone) so that kinda removes the last paragraph and some other chunks where you were under the impression that I hadnt played them.

I never said they trained past human limits, some had to because they were just people like yuffie and Tifa and thats why their limits were related to what they could do Yuffie and her ninja crap and Tifa and just punching things. Everyone else was advanced. So it does make sense that they would be able to do the things that they do, and Clouds sword weilding skillz are from years of training after Zak died.
Also, you twisted my comment beyond recognition to make a point about the games before FF7. I never said they were training to save the planet. I said they had reasons that they were stronger than everyone else on the planet and those reasons were because they are advanced as I said before. So why are they stronger than everyone else on the planet... and a god?

Also I was refering to the massive corporation that is draining the earth of its resources at an insanely accelerated rate being the real world issue... and actually I have heard rumours of a super meteor and that would have been a real world issue when that meteor did hit earth (millions of years ago. :D).

And yeah, brilliant it wasnt the crystals in 2 and 6 your right but it was in the others between and that is too many times of using the same thing to drive the story.

And i will end with a compliment of FF2, I like it because it introduce Chocobos and Cid to the series.

Actually I am going to end on this instead, in FF7 you get Chaos on your squad so there is no need to fight him. Vincent for the win!
Well I dont want to make an enemy of you, and sorry for "misreading" but as for my assumption of you not playing the games its because most non japanese fans (like 80% or so) have never played anything before seven save for remakes, as for the god question, yeah thats ff1 for you, Chaos was a god of sorts, Vincent's Chaos for is not really the original Chaos... But I'm sure you knew that and you were just making a funny =P anyway, you said and yes the meteor thing is correct and there was going to be another that was gunna hit 2030 or so (i dont care about the detaisl it was near future thats all that matters) and it is now said to miss so scrap that but anyway, the crystals thing is called a recurrign theme, sorta like cid, chocobo's, moogles, ivalice corruption, its a story driver >.> anyway it was nes/snes era only a select few games had story so gotta at LEAST give em credit for it, and at the tiem ff7 was made the draining of resourses wasnt a huge issue (it became the hot topic in 21st century) and I was guna let it slide, but because Zack is in my top 10 ff chars (only passed by Squall, Firionel, and Locke, quistis almost passed him but when I heard the line "would you say I became a hero?" he knocked her out of his league) Cloud didnt harshly train like Zack did per say, (I'm aware you didnt compare his training to Zack) But he had mako/jenova cells in him from Hojo's whacky crazy fun experiments, so he could weild the sword with ease (thats why zack was having trouble I think he transfered the mako/jenova cells) But I'm just saying ff7 changed the series WAYYYYY too much, (though maybe it was 6 considering how many elements ff7 stole from ff6 >.>) but it wasnt very noticable untill ff7 stressed it too much >.>

I will end my newer rant with, a quote "I can only represent what i fight for with this" -holds up a rose-

I really dont know why we are arguing FF games are my favourite series of games so I like most of them (not IX or X-2). But I have some things to say. Firstly, No Vincent is not Chaos but he does have Chaos genes which allows him to mix and match (and look awesome!). Secondly, yes they took some things from FF6 but its their bloody game and they are allowed to do that and some of the things people say were stolen are so bloody different that only someone looking for problems finds them. Thirdly (maybe finally I havent decided yet), yes it is a recurring theme but why is that excuse acceptable? They pulled a Legend of Zelda but they had the good sense to stop before it annoyed anyone other than me. :D I am sure that if they had 5 games that had the same story people would have flipped out. Finally (Hmm, I guess thirdly stays as thirdly :D), are you refering to Cloud being able to wield the sword with ease after the mako thing? Because if so thats not true, if you have seen the cinematic from Before Crisis he carries it like any normal person would... dragged across the floor and struggling.

Also, stop doing that! The thing where you argue with things that I ALMOST said but didnt, its annoying and people might not get that I never said that even though you yourself point it out.

And... are we listing our favourite FF characters?

Yeah, I never got what was so bad about it. I liked it quite alot but its not on my favourite game list... not that i have a written out list. But I think this is a poll for classic/iconic games and which people think are the worst out of them. But Vampire Rain is definatly the worst game ever made.

Without doubt Final Fantasy 7 out of all those. I like it as much as other Final Fantasy games but it just felt lacking in the sense of gaming that it caused me to be disenchanted with Final Fantasy as a franchise.

Super Mario 3 was awesome and a welcome sequel since the US got shafted with Mario 2, A Link to the Past was just flat out amazing, and Sonic 3 only gave us more of what we wanted and looked much better then Sonic 2. Also all three of the other games left me wanting a sequel for each game, and yet Final Fantasy 7 didn't.

So that's why I went with it.

Why so much FFVII hate? Did no one play it when it came out in 1997? It was amazing back then. Doesn't hold up too well now though graphics wise. Turn based is pretty old hat too. Game was deep back then man!
I'm trying to understand something here. Do you think people voted on a series because they didn't like it when they played it? or is it because the franchise now is bland to even terrible?
