Has anyone ever experienced the blurring between realities that occurs after extended period of gameplay? I was rifling through my kitchen drawers for a can opener when something in them made a noise just like the grenade jingling sound from MW2.
As I was in the middle of a large play session, I looked away in case of flash and moved away from the drawer, feeling for the throw-back button. Needless to say, I was intrigued at how deep my brain had wried itself into playing MW2. Has anyone ever done something similar with any game?

Yeah. Doesn't happen often, but I remember after I first played Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow... My first reaction to all light was to shoot the light bulb out. Kind of weirded me out.

No, except after long period of playing a game with good immersion like Assassin's Creed 2 I will find myself kind of stalking like a cat between places instead of walking. Like Etzio's badassitude has rubbed off on me. It usually only lasts though until I realize I am doing it.

I once unconsciously checked the bottom right hand corner of my field of view when I wanted to know how much money was in my pocket. I was slightly frustrated when I had to check my pocket and count all the coins. I also saw a bobby pin lying on the ground once and thought to myself 'pick it up, I'm running low on those and I need them for lockpicking!'

Not to my knowledge, although my brain sometimes feels like it restarts itself. I'll be playing and then my vision blurs for a second andI get a headach for about 10 seconds. Sometimes it hurts sometimes it feels like pins and needles were it hurts but tickles at the same time... Is this a problem that I should be worried about?

Me and my friend experienced something similar to this after a very very long session of playing Halo 2 on Legendary (+12 hours). We were walking to the shop and both of us were constantly looking up onto rooftops and making sure we were walking near things that looked like they could provide cover. Damn you freaking one-shot kill snipers...

Once or twice. I once wondered where the potion shop was in my neighbourhood once, then wondered if I could get a Silt Strider to Balmora.

The Search button helps. This is the third thread on one topic in about four months.

I sometimes get game sounds stuck in my head. When I first got into MMOs, of which my first was WOW, I would sometimes wonder if my Hearthstone was on cooldown when I walked home.
For those who never played it, Hearthstones were the "warp back to town" item if WOW.

Really? Seriously? you're not gonna pop up with a cake like "nah just kidding, I'm not that pretentious, just felt like scaring ya" or anything?
Ok just checkin. carry on I guess.

Every time after an extensive Tetris session I get this urge to stack things.

I sometimes pretend to do a Slo-mo Breach of my own room after playing MW2, and take out a lot of enemies. Doesn't everyone? =P

Oblivion. When my friend and I got that game sometimes we would jump around instead of walking trying to lvl skills. He would also get the urge to rifle through every drawer in our townhouse and pick up every god damn spoon.... for selling.

Unless pretending that theres a monster outside the window of the car is crushing/jumping over the other cars on the highway counts, I'ma go with a no on this one.

When Im out in the woods with my dog, I tend to space out and think Im in some enchanted woods and that there's monsters behind every tree. Me and the dog then run around, me with a stick, and kill them all! *insert evil laugh here*

When ever I mess up while drawing by hand, I sub-consciously feel around my desk for the ctrl + z buttons to undo my error, until I realize I have to resort to a bloody eraser.

Once, after a long session of GTA: San Andreas, I was driving behind a man on a rice burner, and I really wanted to speed up and hit him. I knew he would fly off the bike, it would bounce around a bit and I could get on it and ride some sweet ramps. Then I realized I had been playing GTA far too much. Mainly it's just dreams that they creep into. I have no idea how many dreams I've had that have been based around Doom.

Yes, i was walking home from the shop a few years ago when GTA san andreas was all the rage, and a car stopped at traffic lights.

I was on the road about 4 steps away from the car before realising that carjacking would be a bad idea as i didnt know how to drive :p

The driver was looking slightly worried though, and he locked his door :0 Perhaps i was more intimidating than i realised

EDIT: Damm ninja'd on the game :p
