I'm one of those few horrible deformed mutants who likes rap, but I won't exactly be trying to find a download of this song any time soon, and it's not because I don't care for CoD.

If anyone's wondering, the problem I find is the problem that's apparent with most rap songs about games: his flow. It's too cookie-cutter, like a bad actor reading from a cue card. If he smoothed out his rhymes a little bit and made them more fluid (something like Criss Chords [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zanz3YskIhI] or MC Frontalot [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4nigRT2KmCE]) and this wouldn't be all that bad.

Well the video is well made, I'll give it that; but that song leaves much to be desired. Of course I could just be biased because I'm not particularly fond of rap. Didn't particularly care for that guys voice either.
To use your terms, I'd call this a fail, but not an epic one.

I made it 8 seconds in before deeming it an epic failure. Generic rap (intro) about a generic FPS opening with a lens-flared guy getting out of bed fully dressed does not make for win.

A number of excuses could be made as to why I didn't like it.

1) A poor video

2) Poor lyrics and beat

3) Gaming songs don't tend to work out too well. Especially raps.

4) Not a big fan of rap songs.

5) I really just don't like the guys voice. He sounds just like everyone else out there and it doesn't really differ from all the other rappers trying to do the same things. I could probably pull out 5-10 Call of Duty raps, its nothing new and most will sound the same.
