Well new Futurama episodes have been aired on comedy central for the past few weeks, and ive wanted to know how other people are feeling about the reboot.

To me i think the shows are doing fairly decent compared to when the series was doing great back 7 years ago, a lot of the jokes are pretty funny, and the characters are as memorable as ever. I hope they keep up the good work

"On the count of three you will awake feeling renewed and refreshed, as if Futurama hadn't been canceled by idiots, and then brought back by bigger idiots."- Bender at the start of the first episode.

I'm trying to avoid being overly critical at the moment. After being off the air so long it's easy to give the first four seasons some sort of cult status (before South Park took over I would argue that it was easily the smartest animated show out there) and thus look down on any attempt to bring it back.

That said, I think it's still funny, almost as if it had never been cancelled.

Seems pretty funny to me.

I've laughed a lot during the new episodes, so they're just fine with me.

Agreed. South Park and Futurama are the only two smart and funny animated shows i know.

I think the new episodes are just as good as the old ones. The jokes are funny and the characters still retain some of the development that they got during the movies.

I wish it was just never cancelled. It was such a great show. And I think some of the blatant nudity and such will stop in a few episodes when the animators think they have built up their new viewer base.

I concur. And I love the avatar/user name.

I really wish they hadnt gone all preachy. It seems to me like they're trying to be South Park.
It's glad to have Zoidberg and Scruffy back on my TV though.

I'm not sure I like the network shift. The humor is a lot raunchier, and a lot more PG13 than before. There's nothing wrong with that but I've noticed that some of jokes kind of fell flat because they relied too much on the PG factor rather than just do really smart writing. Some of it just came off as malicious. i.e. Susan "Boil"

I just hope that futurama will not end up one of those shows that banks on being zany and edgy rather than being smart.

When did they get preachy? And thank you Aura G.

I like the new episodes, it's a bit more edgy. But I think that could be a given, since it's now on Comedy Central.

I'm sure they'll get the groove back. The blatant nudity is a bit bizarre, the show never really was shy about it. But it was usually played for laughs by having it be The Professor or Fry or even Zoidberg on occasion. Oh well, it's back and that's awesome.

The last episode was the best, but the previous episodes were a bit shaky. Still better than half the crap on TV.

Wait, wut? They started? Wooohoooo! You sure it's not just the split version of the movies?

Thumbs up imo. I mean if it sucks I can ignore it easily enough, on the off chance it's good I get one of my top favourite shows back :D

I really love Futurama, but the new season has yet to impress me with the hilarity that the older episodes had.

The Robosexual episode and even to a certain extent the Eye-Phone episode. Yes the show always had an element of social commentary. I just felt like these episodes were trying to get across their opinion..

No, but that was just me being cynical, I thought I would hate the new episodes, but I find myself still laughing at them, so right now I think they did the right thing.
