Poll: Time spent on facebook

It just occured to me that I have been on facebook for 5 hours straight without opening any other tabs, windows or programs (other than facebook tabs). I wasn't even playing any FB games. In order to feel slightly less addicted, I'm wondering how much time does the escapist spend on facebook?

Do you check it first thing in the morning? What would you say you use facebook for mainly? How many of you are hopelessly addicted like me?

Edit: Just to clarify, I did write up a poll with various time blocks as options but there was a power surge (I'm on a laptop) and the post took like 3 minutes to post, and when it did the poll didn't publish. Apologies.

Also I wasn't just scrolling down and down on facebook I was on chat and commenting on people's posts etc. for 5 hours, so please factor time on chat and all that jazz into your response. Apologies again for the poll, I've been on these forums for 2 years but (as you'll see from my post count) I'm pretty new to the whole 'getting things to work correctly' angle.

Firstly, where's the poll? Secondly, I can only stay on FB for that long while playing games or talking to people. I check it a lot during the day, but I never stay on for more than 10 min without talking or playing. I don't think I'm really addicted.

I'm not addicted... I can go days without checking it.. and then I get stuck on a FB game and sit there for hours... so not addicted to the site.. more the games...

It's normally my first tab. Always in the background, until I get a notification.

Then I go on different websites in different tabs like this website or Youtube.

Then I close the tab and check a couple days later if I get around to it.

I pretty much have a tab open all the time, but i rarely actually spend much time just on facebook.. its more background thing

I check it once, maybe twice a day. It's very rare I post anything on it. Just skim read and then move onto something else.

Depends who's on Facebook. Usually I just pop in once in the morning to see if anyone has contacted me, read a few updates and comment, then return in the evening. If I have a friend I want to talk to with, anywhere from 30mins to an hour or so. If there's someone I really don't want to chat with, I close the tab immediately and return later.

Facebook is one of the first things I check when I boot up my PC, but I rearely stay on the site for more than 10 minutes without opening other tabs. Only way I can stay on facebook for more than 10 minutes straight is when i'm using the chat

Time on facebook? About five minutes a month. This isn't an 'anti-facebook-sheep/troll' post just don't use it that much.

As I don't have a Facebook, none! I spend most my time here and to be honest, I prefer it here.

I check once a month, really. If I'm staying for more than 1 minute, it'll be because a debate is ongoing. I like debates about things no one cares about.

I haven't been on FB in about a month or so. People still ask me "did you get the message on FB" all the time and always get the same answer. I mean to check it regularly but whenever I go for the button at the top of my browser it just magnetizes itself over to Escapist and I forget all about it. Maybe I should check it now... hmmm. Nah.

I only check FB every few days and only stay a matter of seconds to check what is new. My main reason for checking FB is when I'm procrastinating going to bed.

This just about sums it up for me. I'll use it every few days to post/respond to status updates and happy birthday wishes, just to kind of let people know I still exist. Sadly, that's pretty much my sole method of communication for everyone I went to high school/college with. Oh, and occasionally I'll put recordings of my radio shows or videos of any martial arts competitions I'm in.

I usually open it up periodically; check updates and messages, post a bit, then close it. Unless I start talking to a friend. Then I could be on there for hours.
