The other day you saw a mystery item on ebay for $5.34 and out of curiousity you buy it. 3 days later a small box comes to your door, and in it is a small device that fits perfectly onto your wrist and an instruction manual with these details:
Congratulations on purchasing your T.T. Wrist Attachment Device, below are 2 Operating Systems, however be warned, once you select an option, you cannot switch Operating Systems. The instructions on using the device are explained below, enjoy!
Setup Instructions - Press the "On" button on the device. Wait for Setup to appear on the Screen, use the Arrow Buttons to choose between Operating Systems and the "Confirm" button to select your desired Operating System. Once again, once you choose an Operating System, you cannot select the other. The Operating Systems are explained below:
"Quantum Leap" - You will jump (permanently) into your past self at the point and time you chose with whatever objects you chose to carry with you. Your past self's mind will fuse with yours so that none of you will be deleted from the time stream, however any and all physical abilities and strengths will revert back to your past selfs. Note that you may see some distortions around you if you make any major changes to your past, but these are not harmful, it is to let you know that you are changing your present future. Once you reach a future date (or present from when you leaped) you may be able to leap back again, however you must wait at least 5.7 seconds from your first leap before you can leap back again. You may also save up to 3 specific times in the device.
"Visitation" - Enter your desired time into the device. Then you will need to enter cooridinates, however if you don't wish to, you may enter a specific place such as "Mens Restroom, Starbucks, 700 5th Ave 4th floor, Seattle, WA 98104". Once you press the Confirm button, your device will open a light-blue portal (this is the default color, you may choose different colors in the sub-menu) 2 Feet in front of you. Once you step through the portal it will close. To open a portal to the time you came from, just press the "Return" button and a new portal will be opened. The following guidelines MUST be adhrered, otherwise you will be thrown back to your present time and the device will be disabled for 30-426 days to repair the damage of the time stream:
-By default, the device will conceal your identity to your past self with a holographic image of another person, however under any circumstances, you should not directly interact with your past self, however a good alternative is written notes that would make sense to your past self.
-Do not dispense/share any knowledge of the future to a mass group of people. This will cause panic among the general public and will cause the device to malfunction, sending you back to your present time. If you must share knowledge, do so with a maximum group of 4 people.
-DO NOT under any circumstances open the device to share the technology with those of the past otherwise the device will fail to work. It is built with a tamper-proof fail safe chip that will cause the device to shut down after returning you to your present time if it is opened up.
