Free Radical is dead. The remaining team members moved to a section in the Crytek team. First they plan on finishing up the Crysis project(s) and then moving on to either new things, or SW: Battlefront III and maybe Timesplitters 4 and an HD remake of 2 (if demand calls for it).Split Moon said:

Yes. I played Time Splitters 2 and 3 and all I can remember of it is having great fun playing with my friends on co-op and the funny dialog in the game. If they can bring the game back like the 3rd but with the ability of playing co-op online I guess I'll have to add another game to my buy list just for the great times I had with it before.

sounding like a pornstar aside, I definitely think that Timesplitters 4 should go into development - Timesplitters 2 is my favourite game of all time, and the variety of weapons, modes, and general style of the series is something that hasn't been matched by any other FPS. Bring Timesplitters back!

alright. here's my opinion and it kinda has a little bit of reference to ZP's Monkey island review...
i don't understand why we have to come out with ANOTHER timesplitters game. three ended so perfectly and in all honesty still stands out as one of the best PS2 games in my book, even though some of the challenges where hard as hell. all loose ties were ended (although it's not that hard to do with time traveling) and all characters had a happy ending no matter what the timeline. we just don't need to do another cause it's just gonna find some reverse deus ex machina to make everything crazy again and it's going to leave extremly wide plot holes.
believe me, i want to see more timesplitters, it almost seems like maybe they should remake 1,2,and 3 and just add more online content and leave it at that rather than take a chance at butchering the series....
.. but then again, i'll take any opportunity to hear cortez say "DAMN IT" again. so ultimatly, go for it. i'll buy it anyway

Timesplitters was never about the story. Future Perfect was really the first to actually have a cohesive story! Two and one were basically "go in this room, get that key, go into the next room. Do it as fast as you can."
