Well, I don't really visit Cracked, but not because i am an elitist douche who will only associate himself with what I belive to be top-notch intellectualism.

I do visit ED, mostly just to read up on any of the fun events occurring on 4Chan. I do hate the ads on that site though.

This may come as a surprise to you, but many of the people who edit encyclopedia dramatica are very intelligent people. Why are we even discussing this instead of reading funny articles on either of those sites?

Encyclopedia Dramatica, because like you said, they just try to be edgy yet fail miserably.

Cracked I read everyday, but I never comment. And yeah, the comments on there suck and most of the spam bots are so, so bad it's funny.

Don't get me wrong, one should definitely tread lightly on ED, especially if one is browsing in a public place. I would certainly not encourage anyone to look up "offended" on ED (seriously).

The articles however are amusing and informative, like QI only better.

That said, I was tempted to comment on the article about underdog stories in battle.

I haven't been on Cracked much, but I've made a very large effort to avoid ED ever since the Offended Section.

Given my limited amount of knowledge on both accounts, I will give the "Has to be more ashamed" award to ED, if only for burning very disturbing images into my brain that no amount of bleach can remove.

I've never bothered to read the comments on Cracked. I just go there occasionally for the articles. It's hardly fair to judge it based on the comment section, or you could write off Youtube as well.

Hey, I'm actually a freelance writer for Cracked ( http://www.cracked.com/members/nchammer326 ) so I feel the need to chime in.

A fair amount of the people who post in the comments section for Cracked articles are retarded douchenozzles of a wide variety. I myself have been called a retard, homophobe, a white apologist, etc. in the comments of some of my articles.

I actually didn't know Cracked had an ED page until now. It's surprisingly positive, so I suspect it was written by a Cracked fan (or fans).

I'm not sure it's fair to compare the two sites, since they're really different from each other. I think ED is worse just because it has a higher percentage of 4chan users. Also, the people who leave retarded comments on Cracked stuff aren't the ones busy writing the articles.
