B.

It's probably because I like to keep things organized.
I don't know why it looks organized, but it just feels right in my eyes.

A. Requires less torque, doesn't break off mid pull. This goes double for that shitty one-ply public restroom tissue.

B. Is for folks that don't know how to toilet paper.

Another vote for "Mine just stands an a little cupboard next to the loo"

Oh, and definitely #firstworldproblems

As a cat owner the answer is A. The first time you walk in to the bathroom to find an entire roll unwound and on the floor with your cat looking up at you as if to say "whaaaaat?" you will understand why.

Do you happen to have a larger version of that image? It would be very helpful for my arachnophobia research.

Also option 'B'.
Alas no, I just pulled it off the interwebs

A is almost mandatory for anyone with a cat.
Pretty much this. I set it up as A, even before I got a cat, mostly because I get annoyed if momentum makes the roll trail down to the floor after someone has torn it. So yeah, A.
Are you implying that momentum somehow wouldn't keep it unspooling if you hung it backwards? I suppose that, mount permitting, you could press it against the wall to stop movement, but if your hand's already on the roll, you could just manually stop the rotation.

And what's with all of these people who apparently can't rip toilet paper? You do know it's not supposed to be made of metal, right?
I was mostly referring to other people using the roll before I use it, like in public restrooms. I've seen it many times, where they tore with such force, that it makes a long distance of paper trail down to the floor, and thus touching the nasty public floor. At home it's not really much of an issue, as me and my wife are both capable of controlled paper tearing. xD

I suppose it is possible for the roll to keep unwinding if in the A position, but I've never seen it happen personally, so I can't really comment on it.

C, The floor.

I feel this debate is flawed by leaving out all the other options. At work we have a dispenser that is mounted with the side of the roll facing towards the wall. It actually makes more sense to me that one, as it is more natural to pull towards you than sideways out from the wall so I'll go for that one, whatever option that is.

B obviously because 9 times out of ten, Option A is going to be farther away from you and most times will end up touching the wall or the floor because it won't rip properly also I don't know if anyone noticed this but even the picture is on the B side.

A. I have a cramped toilet, B would just be in the way. For the rest it mostly depends on the location of the toilet paper. Left or right, high or low. That shit matters!

A, because people are very adamant about B for some reason. Really, I just put it on the way it falls in my hands when I'm loading the roll, which happens to be A far more often, as if I'm actually making that choice.

I figure B is far more atheistically pleasing, and I consider it the "right" way to put it on because of it. However, I figure that A allows for a 90 degree angle of pull to put the most tension of the back of the roll, which should lead to easier tearing. Toilet paper isn't hard to tear, and aesthetics don't matter much, so it's not really a debate for me.

Oh man, people at work do A with paper towels sometimes and it's the most annyoing thing. You gotta be able to grab them quick on the job especially since you can't see them.

Always B. I suppose for me it is actually more of a functional thing rather than purely aesthetic.

When tearing off a piece I prefer to have the end of the roll clearly visible and reachable for the next one, not have to pull from the bottom and have the end wind up under/behind the damn roll somewhere. Then you have to roll the whole thing around to get at it. If you have ever been to the DMV and had to take a number, the thing dispenses it out of the front of the machine, toward you. You don't see it spun 180 and have to reach under the damn thing to pull out the ticket do you? No you don't, so why in the fuck would you do that for TP?

Unlike what I am guessing is the overwhelming majority of people I actually stand up and use both hands to grab the roll and wipe. One hand to stop the roll and the other to tear it. One hand to lift a cheek so to speak and the other to wipe. I'm tall so not having to grab under the roll and blindly guess how much I have is nice.

Do the rest of you just sit there on the toilet grabbing at the roll one handed and then get into some weird yoga position to wipe under yourself while still sitting on the toilet?

I also pee sitting down so I find the stupid hole in the front of underwear totally pointless not too mention uncomfortable to actually use. As I haven't dropped trow at a urinal since kindergarten I prefer to just sit and pee like the other 52%+ of humanity.
