So it's basically what the poll says. Here in the Escapist Forums, for example, you post something interesting and immediately you get a lot of answers. Give it a couple of hours and maybe your answer is now buried beneath 6 pages of more and more answers.

Did this ever stop you from posting your opinion somewhere? Or did it ever happen, that you saw something interesting and wanted to reply, only to stop because there were already 10 pages worth of posts by other members?

Already a topic like this earlier today, <url=http://www.escapistmagazine.com/forums/read/18.212167-Anyone-else-paranoid-of-huge-threads>here

OT: No, threads with a lot of posts do not scare me off. I'll usually end up reading all of the posts before mine, unless the answers do not interest me that much. I'll still post even after many pages.

Generally if there's 100+ posts I don't post because it'll probably get lost.

But if it's something I really want to comment on I still comment.

Omg, this is going to be another one of those AWESOME THREADS. xD
"For those who witnessed what happened on the 4th of July 2010. At 4:01 pm username "SomethingAmazing" created well" The thread was called WHOOPS, would you mind renaming it whoops the second?

Yes, but only in certain cases.

For example (and this is the reason 90% of the time), most people don't read the last pages, so if I see a thread which has a topic which I'd love to discuss with others at length, I won't post in it if it's got so many pages that I know no one will read my post.

Yep, I generally only post in the first 3 or 4 pages because after that there's not usually anything I can say that hasn't already been said.

No, I like being a part of ULTRA GIANT THREADS, like the "If you woke up by the above escapists avatar" thread in games and RP, which i think has recently reached page 500.

It depends... Was the thread a question? In which case i won't post if i see someone else has already answered it properly. If it's a question about opinion then i'll post it either way... Someone is going to read through it all no matter how many posts there are in a thread.

It does make me not want to post if the thread is pages long.

But it really just depends on the subject.

If what I wanted to say has already been said by another person, then I probably won't post in the thread. But, that's not always the case.
