Poll: Too many zombies?

Hear me out on this one. I don't mean too many zombies in general. We can never have too many zombies.
But more specifically, too many zombies in Call of Duty. To quote Mr. Thompson, "Zombies and Call of Duty go together these days like Sony and security breaches" (http://www.escapistmagazine.com/news/view/109584-George-Romero-To-Appear-In-New-Black-Ops-Zombie-Level in case you didn't see it.)

When I read that line, it kinda annoys me. I like zombie games. They freak me out and I can barely play 'em, but I enjoy a good zombie killing fest, just like anyone else. Well. Anyone else on this website probably.

But I kinda miss the old Call of Duty that didn't make the zombie part into a big deal. Sure, having a zombie level in there seems like a good idea, no complaints there, but now they're actually making a DLC for the zombie part of the game? Wasn't it supposed to be an fps with some sort of story, with actual human opponents? It just seems like they're jumping the zombie train in attempts to cash in. (Which I can't fault 'em for really, but I still do haha)

And yes that was a bit of a rant.

I see what you mean. I can't say I'm big on Call of Duty, but zombies are fun for me to goof off in an afternoon doing coop with my friends where it doesn't feel like I'm just dragging us down or getting murdered repeatedly online.

Every iteration has come with more guns than the last, and most have more maps than the last.

the zombies thing doesn't change that.

I'm actually bored with Call of Duty now.
I loved Zombies in WaW but I have yet to play a zombies game online in Black Ops and now I never will because I sold it at Game Xchange on Monday.

Thank god for the Gears 3 beta right now or I'd be going stir-crazy.

The CoD way of doing zombies is fun for a little bit, like when you're having some friends over... but it's not that good. There's a lot of ways zombies can get done better, but I guess it was mostly covered in some of this weeks articles on the subject.

If it wasn't for zombie mode i would of burned black ops for being such a disgrace.

I love it because i get to work CO-OP since i hate Verses Multiplayer. and the new Call of the dead map makes me want to play it more its just more fun over horror/fun of being surrounded with a shotgun its the intense gameplay i love its more intense then Wall wars (Camping in multiplayer) Mainly because where ever your holding out at you know at one point it becomes every one for themselves. And seeing how im always the last one alive it makes me feel awesome mowing down zombies with a gatling gun of doom while everyone else panics like a sheep in a wolf parade.

Its the way you play if its all Seriously serious then it gets boring but if your running about diving away from zombies its fun i just hate how the game paces itself when you just want kill things. In my case MORE ZOMBIES!

I almost thought this thread was about the Zombie trend thats been going on forever. That -- I have been sick of. Too many people nergasm over zombies/zombie movies/zombie games.
